Went here 3 times, overall food is average. I would recommend to come in a group, as the direction of this shop is not gearing toward single person customer, there are not set for single person, only for 2~6 person.
I ordered mapo tofu, garlic prawn with vermicelli bowl and potato with braise pork bowl. The first 2 dish was way too salty for my taste.
The shop have free fermented cabbage as a snack, and a refillable rice bowl, but you gotta pay for that.
I come to this shop during the opening week 2 times, and the claypot I ordered was inclusive with rice, it was showed in the app. But when I visit the third time, I notice that was changed and I need to order the rice on the side, and when I check with the PIC, they try to gaslight me into believing that has been always the case.
Maybe it's opening offer, maybe system glitch, but I'm still felt annoyed. My speculation was originally there was single person set, but they remove it as it impact their turnaround rate if it attract single person customer, or just trying to make extra with the rice.
Anyway, if you want to try Chinese claypot and not alone, you can definitely come and check it out, the set value for groups...

Dishes Ordered: Oil Splashed Fried Pork Elbow Claypot + Old Chengdu Chicken Claypot
Price: RM 117 (for 2 pax)
Comments: The food here is pleasantly soothing. The flavours were quite different from Mala (which is what I’m used to). The Chengdu Chicken Claypot had springy noodles in it (to our fun surprise) and a unique curry-like undertone. The Oil Splashed Pork Claypot was jam-packed with flavours that make your nose runny (not necessarily from spiciness, but from the steamy heat). The pork was also really tender. The service was pretty much non-existent with everything being self-service, including getting your own rice & cabbage pickles at the front (but that being said, it is refillable). Overall it is a good experience if you’re in the mood to try something new. It is not the kind of food that blows your mind on the spot - but you’ll find yourself missing it the next day.

Read moreI visited on a bustling Friday night, and the place was packed. The table service was chaotic, with no clear guidelines. Guests behind us were seated before us, causing absolute disarray in terms of service.
The waitresses were polite, but they could benefit from more training. The shop should consider implementing better seating flow guidelines.
I ordered garlic shrimp with vermicelli claypot and potatoes & braised pork claypot.
The garlic shrimp with vermicelli was flavorful, and the vermicelli wasn't too dry. Overall, it was okay.
The potatoes & braised pork wasn't too spicy, and the pork was braised until soft. It paired perfectly with a bowl of rice.
The rice, priced at RM3 per bowl, offers unlimited refills. They use a higher quality rice compared to what's used for Economy rice—it's fragrant and soft.
Needs to queue when making payment and take rice. Lots of room for improvement in terms of service.
Will be back...
