Feb 26th, 2020 - visited at 1.15 In today's visit to this Starbucks Nexus Bangsar South (10th day in a row as i was nearby there for daily medical treatment and a starbucks was the reward after each treatment to keep me motivated) there's this large size female staff there who has been taking my order last several days- never greet customer with a smile, after she asked what i would like to order she started chatting with the other crew as if i do not exist in front of her, after placing my order she did that again and left me standing to wait for her finish her banter.
This is sheer unproductivity and no respect for customer. Considering each cup of coffee cost Rm20 i think all Starbucks staffs should be trained to behave like a 5 star cafe.
Another incident today and this same lady crew, the customer she was serving in front of my line encountered POS credit card issue, i ended up waiting almost 10mins right behind this guy. Finally after 10mins wait and a super long queue now behind me, this crew didn't even offer a single sentence of apology for making me wait 10mins and just asked nonchalantly in too soft a voice that i cldn't even hear properly, with her flat non smiling face and no eye contact.... the rest of the experience needless to say is unexciting i just pay and left. After that the wait for the drink took another 12mins to be served due to the lunch time crowd.
Starbucks - where's the efficiency and proffesionlism? Not all crews are bad i must say but just several bad apples lingering around ruins the experience. it's time to retrain and filter your staffs with iron fist, we pay Rm20 per cup for Starbucks 'brand' experience and today is consumer's era and we deserve to be treated better. You have lots of rooms for improvement to standardize SOP customer service and crew behaviour.
I travel to Thailand (multi province) on monthly basis for work and the crew there are such a joy to meet and talk to, always greeting with a smile and enthusiasm, friendly...

Cons : would rate it 5 star, but can't as the wifi sharing system is not that great for those who intend to spend productive time at the cafe. I was at Starbucks to study and needed wifi connection at all times. The wifi password expires every two hours, and the customer has to keep requesting for a new one. Moreover, one wifi password works for just one device. This means, if you have a laptop and a mobile phone, then you need to request for two wifi passwords. That's a big bummer. Following this, the second time I requested for a set of passwords, they expired in merely 20 mins. This was annoying as I was in the middle of some important assignments, lost all my data, and had to restart the work all over again and ended up using my telco's data via hotspot instead of Starbucks' wifi. If customer has to use their own internet, then the coffee is way...
Read moreWas here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. There was already quite a good amount of people here, some here for breakfast on a leisurely weekend, some here to work/study on their devices, some here for group brainstorming sessions, family and friends meeting up etc.
Environment of this branch is nice, with lots of bright natural light and plenty of seating options. There were some real plants which lent to the cosy atmosphere too. Music is not too loud, but the aircond is super cold, so make sure to bring a jacket/scarf if you plan to get comfortable.
I haven't been to a Starbucks for some time, but I find their hazelnut hot chocolate and iced caramel macchiato very mediocre. For the price, you can definitely find better options at any random cafe out there. The mushroom danish was a tad too salty, and tasted like mushroom soup.
Staff service was friendly. Young and energetic baristas will wake you up before the...
