Food 🍜(9/10) Price💲($$$/$$$$$) Environment 🍽(8/10) Service🤵🏻♂️(9/10) Overall Satisfactory (8/10)
What we ordered: Food: Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao 🍽️- RM30.90 (9/10) The szechuan mala xiao long bao is superrrr good and the spicy level is mild and acceptable 🌶️ The black truffle xiao long bao is also extremely good and the taste of the black truffle is super strong 😩😩🥹
Fried Rice with Crispy Pork Chop - RM 28.90 (8/10) The fried rice 🍚 is covered with eggs and have a very good seasoning 🧂 which makes the entire dish stands out among the others 👑 however, the pork chop is quite basic and its just a ordinary pork chop IMO 🐷🐖
La Mian with Dan Dan Sauce - RM 19.90 (9/10) The people who loves peanuts 🥜 will love this dish alot as one bite into the dish, your entire mouth will be filled with the taste of peanut but the dish is very spicy and im sweating 🥵🥵 while eating the dish itself 🤣🫠
Golden and Silver Eggs with Anaranth - RM 30 (9/10) The soup/ sauce that came with the vege makes me finished my rice within 10 mins 🥹🥹😩 ITS SUPER tasty and filled with flavours as well. The vege is quite basic but the soup enhanced and pulled up the standard for the entire dish...
Read moreMy family and I visit The Pearl on a regular basis although we are tourists from Ireland because my extended family are from Malaysia and live locally. This was our first visit to this restaurant. I don't know if it's because we are obviously foreigners that our experience seems to differ from most of the other reviewers. Not long after we entered, we were served two dishes of black mushrooms/fungus and peanuts in a sauce, which we did not order. One of our drink orders was Jasmine tea for two and we were given a generous teapot of this. The food was generally delicious apart from the excess of Chillies in the Schezuan chicken. We returned the unordered items almost immediately and when it came time to pay the cheque, the restaurant attempted to charge us for these items. We were also charged for four servings of tea despite ordering two and charged for the serviettes at 3.20 ringgit per serviette. Although none of these charges break the bank, it's the principle I object to. A restaurant is obliged to be transparent about charges of every kind and frankly, as a former Malaysian citizen, I left this restaurant feeling that this was management policy directed at possible gullible foreigners who are perceived as having loads of money. The food was fine, the waiters were friendly but deeply disappointed with the...
Read moreLocated on the first floor of the Pearl Suria shopping mall, the same level as the Sky bridge. This restaurant is apparently well lnown for its Sichuan style dishes as well as their signature la mian and also xiao long bau. We had the signature pork bone la mian, which had very rich and tasty.broth. the noodles was soft and silky. In fact a little too soft for my liking. We also had their standard xiao long bau and they provide a full jar of sliced ginger which we helped ourselves. They were tasty with the light vinegar sauce. And also the seafood fried rice which was nice too. We had a dish from the special menu which was the stewed pork belly with buns, was a bit dry and a bit over priced for that dish. Over all the ambiance was very nice especially overlooking the main road. Staff was very helpful and attentive. And price is.a bit high but for the environment and service, it was acceptable. #letsguide #chinesefood...
