Update Came back for dinner, had the ginger fish head and one with chilli sauce, vege and a yam basket. The yam basket is crispy on the outside, soft and nice inside, the chicken piece were nice and tasty. However the chilli sause fish was lacking a balance, taste mostly of chilli.... 2 weeks ago Came to try the steam fish head after reading Bangsar Babe review. Ordered the ginger steam fish head, salted egg sotong and a vege. The fish head came slightly under cook, they took back to re-steam. Lucky they did not overcook the fish head. Overall very tasty fish head and sotong, even the vege was good. Fish head a bit more expensive than New Mun Kee nearby, but then New Mun Kee is specialize on fish head, probably get their stock at a better price. LFF seafood serves more on other variety of food and seafood...

Restoran LFF in OUG, Kuala Lumpur, is a beloved spot for authentic Chinese dai chow and fresh seafood. The main attraction is their exceptionally prepared Steamed Song Fish Head. I highly recommend the version with minced ginger, which provides a fresh, fiery kick, or the Steamed Fish Head with Preserved Vegetables (choy poh) for a savory, tangy contrast. Portions are generous, and dishes like the Salted Egg Sotong are perfectly coated and addictive. Not to mention the home-made pumpkin tofu; the gravy was thick. The restaurant offers a comfortable, airy environment and refreshingly uses minimal MSG, ensuring a clean and hearty dining experience. It’s an honest local gem providing great food and value.

Arrived at 2.10pm for lunch but the boss lady accommodated our lunch order. For the 3 of us we ordered the “steamed soong yee tau” in ginger paste, stir fried sweet potato leaves, salted egg chicken and claypot taufoo. Food was delicious and we compared the taste of the steamed fish with Mun Kee and decided this tasted better without artificially-sweet msg after taste. The boss lady proudly told us they don’t use msg in their cooking. The 4 dishes, plus Chinese tea and 2 bowls of rice came up to RM93. Found out they’ve been operating for the past 27 years with a break in between but their business is in full swing now. Will be back to try their other dishes!
