It is situated at a place where traffic is always busy, traffic jam, no parking, and also near a wet market. The moment we stepped in, it wasn't that packed....and we thought the service will be super fast coz it's a shop owned by Hong Kong ppl, they are famous for being fast in whatever they do, right? But it also took us a little time to decide on what to order, and we settled on walnut drink, recommended by my niece.....for main meal, we ordered beef fried Kueh tiew and since they are famous for fish balls, so we ordered a bowl of mix balls noodles! The soup noodle price is meant for normal noodles like mee, mee hoon or Kueh tiew.....we wanted wanton mee and were told RM3 will be added to the published price on menu.....wow!!! As we have ordered our food, we were eagerly waited for our food and time passed by without realising until we felt that it was like few other tables customers later than us but got their food served before us!!! We were very, very upset coz we were really hungry and waited for at least 1/2 hour, with the restaurant not in 100% or more capacity, meaning no quee yet!!! When we complaint about it, the elderly waitresses were quite rude and without apology, went checking for our order with sour face.....and all of a sudden, we got almost everything we ordered. But the food was to our disappointment as the mix balls noodle was below expectations, the beef noodles was good on the 'wok wei' but the texture and taste of beef was not what we love, so rather upset after the...

Previously one could be lucky enough to find a spot under the flyover but with the current roadworks being carried out (it could be years judging from the work progress), the only viable place is at the hotel across the road (the upper level is always full since the construction works commenced but the basement level is still available at RM6).
The kueh-teow noodle is good. The portion is filling and the fish balls are great. However, the soup tasted almost flat. It is no way comparable to those kueh-teow th'ng that one would expect in Penang. The coffee or tea are not as "kaw" compared to those local kopitiam but the good thing is everything come "kosong" and sugar is provided for one's own taste. Prices ranged around RM18).
The pork knuckle is absolutely delicious and the only regrets is not taking it together with some rice (or even fried rice for that matter).
The deep fried pig intestines is very crispy but only for those who fancy intestines. As can be said, usually the taste of intestines, stomach and kidneys are not to everyone's liking.
Service is fast and super friendly. Rubbish is littered all over the surrounding areas and smelly (especially by the roadside and under the flyover pillars) but upon entering the premises, one is surprised to find this place very well lit and...

It’s the most authentic HK style Yang Zhou fried rice I’ve tasted in Malaysia so far. It’s a must order and seems rather popular here too. It tasted the same. Besides we also ordered the fried beef kuew teow, a HK cha chan teng staple. My wife loved it as it was flavorful but a bit oily. The soup hor fun with 3 types of balls - fish balls, pork balls & cuttlefish balls was pretty good as the soup was clear, the hor fun was smooth & all the balls was great. As the fish balls & fish paste are all made in house most of the items here are pretty fresh and tasted good. In fact the self made fish balls are also available for sale in the freezer. We read that the place has been recently renovated - it’s clean, spacious & cosy enough. Most tables are for 4pax or less. So if you have a big group it will be difficult to fit all in one table. Parking can be a hassle as the restaurant is located near to Pudu wet market and surrounded by many wholesalers shops. Come and try if you like HK authentic cha chan teng food. I have to add that the portion are also typical HK which is huge, so it’s pretty good value indeed. The portion easily...
