The restaurant was absolutely packed when we arrived , clearly a popular spot! We discovered it through Little Red Book and made a reservation over the phone. By the time we got there at 6:30 PM, our table was already prepared.
The setting has a casual coffee shop vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated outdoors, and even though it was a rainy day, the atmosphere still felt cozy. Despite the crowd, everything was well-managed and lively.
We ordered around 8 to 9 dishes, and every one of them exceeded our expectations. The food was served surprisingly fast, and overall, everything tasted great. If we had to mention one thing, it would be that a few dishes were slightly on the salty side ,but nothing that ruined the experience.
Our total bill came to just over RM350, which we found quite reasonable for the variety and quality of food we enjoyed.
One interesting part of the experience was the open kitchen. While sitting outside, we could see the kitchen staff busy at work cooking, moving swiftly, and even almost fighting lol. It was fun to watch the action while enjoying our meal in a much calmer space.
Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we’ll definitely...
Read moreLocated at Pudu. Near wet market. We arrived at 7pm. But curry fish is sold out, steam chicken in the picture posting, no longer serve now. In the end, we switch to ginger garlic steam fish head and herbal Salty chicken. The steam chicken is not fully cook.
Salted egg sotong is tasty and crunchy. We tried fried chicken wings, this is oily. Overall, food taste is average.
When we first arrived, the aunty didn't allow us to sit at the round table but direct us to another. saying that meant for the combine table. Even we have moved twiceas we see there isn't any combine table as she claimed. But she has insisted. We were not comfortably sit even we have arrived earlier than others, we don't deserve a better seat.
The plus point here is the price, its reasonable. But they don't have menu and we don't know their selling price upfront. And when Food sold out, we don't know what they have for our selection.
They have a good and tactful male supervisor, advicing us to go back and try other dishes again especially sweet and sour pork. If you intended to bring friends, recci the place...
Read moreThis could be our alternate answer for our dinner on a Wednesday, when ZK restaurant is at rest. The dishes they served are typically local, in which style I'm not sure of. They have most of the usual and common dishes available of a "dai choy" stall in addition to some Assam dishes not commonly available and not many had dared to venture into serving. Was told those mee dishes are available during the week days and off their menu during the weekends. Curiously was there on a Wednesday and it was real crowded. Had to wait for a full 30 mons before the dishes ordered came. Disappointed we're not cos all our dishes came in rather big size even though it was for a small potion. Noted at most tables you can find a fish dish of some type, be it steamed, Fried or etc. Another popular I saw was the deep fried lam yee chicken wings. Price wise was very reasonable. Atmostsphere was classic for a dai choy. My recommendation if your family is cooking for that evening. I did gathered most weekends were crowded and you may have to wait for a...
