This place has probably been blogged to death. As a foodie, i should have come ages ago just to lay my hands on this Instagram-able dish but the practical side in me always stopped me from doing so. Better late than never.. I guess

I believe that Fatt Kee is one of the pioneers (if not the pioneer) in creating this kind of all-in-one dishes before many restaurants follow suit. My social media page was bombarded by pictures of this restaurant at one time, as everyone was crazy for it. Well.. I had only gone there recently and although it was on weekend night, we managed to get a table without any queue.

NOTE: IT'S WORTHWHILE TO COME IN A GROUP OF AT LEAST 4 & ABOVE SO THAT YOU CAN ENJOY THE FOOD WITHOUT FEELING STUFFED IN THE END and it's more economical to share the entire cost (personal observation)

◾The package starts from RM68 until one ringgit short of RM800 at my point of visit. Of course the bigger the nicer it looks on your page. ◾There were 6 of us and we went for the medium sized luxury platter at RM499 which works out to about RM83 per pax. ◾The platter came with slipper lobsters, fresh water prawns (big head prawns), prawns, scallops, crabs, clams, fish, mussels - all cooked in a humongous stainless steel pot. ◾You can choose between level 1-7 (or was it 8?) Of spiciness. We opted for level 1 and it was spicy enough for us.

Overall most seafoods were very fresh and we had a great time eating while catching up with each other's lives. It used to operates in the evening until late at nights but Google said that it opens from 12pm...

Heard so much about the place and finally we came. It’s crowded with people as with most reviews. The menu is simple and expensive. Everyone orders the same dish - roast fish with or without fish ie seafood. Prices starts from Rm88 for 1 pax. A standard pot goes for Rm299 for 4-6pax. And go all the way to Rm999 for the luxury pot. There are typical steamboat items you may add on. There are various levels of spiciness for the soup base but importantly if you select higher level of spiciness be prepared to pay up to Rm80 extra for Level 7 spiciness! No wonder this place is raking in tons of money ! As for the food I have to say it’s really not special and not worth the money. All the seafood items are cooked before hand and soup is added onto it. Well what do you expect when the food arrives less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The ingredients of the Rm299 pot comprise of a big roasted fish head but not much meat, 10 large sized prawns, 1 small lobster, sotong, mussels, small lala, & a lot of bean sprouts. Though the seafood was generally fresh, the lala was small & had sea water taste. The soup was ok but not fantastic. Similar to Tom yam but less flavorful. We ordered two pot of Rm299 - one non spicy & one 0.5 spicy. Add on two dishes and some bottled drinks. The bill came up to Rm728 for 11pax. Will not return as it’s expensive, no cooking effort at all, and taste ok only. It’s all hype but then the place was really crowded and has been for some time. Taste is individual and I’ve tried it and don’t like it enough to...

This is my second time here. I would say it's a special sour spicy fish of chinese cuisine. But the price is at the higher side, especially for those side dishes. The serving is very instagrammable, the soup is nice especially for those spicy lover, but the seafood just not that fresh. Adding a few side dishes will cost u the price of a main dish, but the portion is disappointing. Is good to have a try but not highly recommended.

Ps: one of the lady boss has a very bad attitude. We have a total of 12ppl, but she asked us to sit on a smaller table probably just able to fit in 8 person. If with social distancing that table probably just can allocate 4-5person. But she claimed that the table is able to fit in all of us. When we requested to move to another bigger table from another lady, that lady boss showed her temper. She said this larger table is for 15person(probably if there is kids?, But all of us are adult), yet 12 of us sitting there is just well fitted. By that time, the restaurant is not fully occupied, until we finished our meal, there is still 1/3 of unoccupied tables. I don't find the point of her squeezing us in that small table, in addition the dishes are space occupying with the stove.

BAD SERVING from that lady boss. SLIGHTLY PRICY dishes. UNFRESH seafood, except...
