the food was good. i ve been here for several times.
for the previous visit, i already book 1 day before and u gave me table direct under the tv and very stuffed space. the tv was so loud and not comfortable at all since the chair just fit the space. not even an inch gap? really?
and then i came again today for 5 people and you gave me small table. i saw larger table beside us and they only seat for 4 people. thankfully, one table on our left just got empty and your waiter trying to make us comfortable by gave us that table to put our food also. i know its hard to satisfy all people. i can understand that and i can see you dont have many staff at that time. please hire more staff or open ads for vacancy.
theres also one hijabis lady maybe white scarf, nigeria i guess.. she was very rude and arrogant. she served at us very roughly. she puts my plate on the table like want to throw my plate, and not even sorry? we all hungry but dont be rude. when i want to reach to the waiter by waving my hand to ask if i can exchange my table, that lady looking at me angry and asked me to be patient. like hello? if you dont want to serve customer, then don't.
instead another waiter did a good job handling our inquiries and demand at that time. he wore blue shirt and tied his hair back. that man was so professional. even tho he cannot speaks malay he really did a great job serving people with an attitude.
my suggestion is you should educate that lady how to works professional even when she is tired. maybe she can learn how to smile a bit and say sorry or thankyou. you might lose customers if that kind of attitude kept continued. in the meanwhile, maybe you can hire more staff so that the former staff won' t be stressed out since the restaurant was packed and not enough hands to handle all the customers.
i may not be correct by my own opinion since im not here everyday. im so sorry if im being too honest. however, thankyou for the...
Read moreI first went to this shop (different location at the time) back in 2004. And now almost 20 years later it's amazing that they have grown so much and the food quality is still as good as always.
They have some unique Iraqi dishes which is nice. Their pizzas are also good. If you want something unique go with the Iraqi pizza. It has no cheese but it doesn't need any because of all the minced lamb on it.
Their typical selection of Mandi and kabsa are also tasty and good value for money. But for me their aren't the star of the menu they are there because of demand is high.
Other dishes that really stand out to me are the Bamiye and the Badenjan dishes (I suggest swapping the white rice for Mandi rice). Their felafel is a bit expensive but man it's good! It's the same story for their whole Maze selection, expensive but really good. Their lamb shanks are also well prepared and remind me of my mom's cooking. For a lighter dish get the grilled Greek style fish but ask for less rice. The fish is unbelievably soft. It really does melt in your mouth.
For drinks I've only had the Adani Tea and I love it. They also sell shisha if that's what you are into.
The shop has a large outdoor area which is a bit over decorated but I love it. It has good happy vibes. They also share space with a Thai restaurant so it's good for groups when not everyone wants Arabic food. The Thai food quality is...
Read moreWe ordered the lamb brisket and lamb stew. The stew is good however the lamb rack doesnt taste good at all. It was priced at rm55 btw. A total rip off! It wasnt fresh, overgrilled and didnt even had enough meat in it. It was just dry so we had to order the stew.
Overall the dishes taste salty while the adeni tea was too sugary, i could hardly detect the cardamom and nutmeg. This could actually pass for a teh tarikh!
The waiters are kind and listened to our complaint but I dont think they will improve their food.
For the price, our total bill was nearly Rm130, i would recommend you just go to Yahala instead. Or if you can go to bukit bintang area, Al Halabi and Halab are 👍 highly recommended.
