Terrible experience. Slow service. Food is mediocre. Not worth it. Price is okay if the service is quick but slow service makes it not worth the price.
Plus points: Friendly staffs. Nice ambience. Could be improved with the table arrangements. Our table was too close with the table beside us when there’s space on the other side for better spacing. Some of our chairs cant be used because of this.
The negatives: Super late service! Read full experience below. Mediocre food. Taste is meh.. seafoods not so fresh. Sauces taste too Malay like. Could use some tartar sauce, thousand islands etc to go with the seafoods.
Full experience: We arrived at 8.15pm. They took our orders of Jumbo set at 8.25pm. But the drinks werent ordered yet. Was told another waiter will come to take drinks orders
There was only one guy in red taking drinks orders for the whole restaurant. After 2,3 times of asking, they took our drink orders at 9pm. That’s 45 minutes just to take our drink orders! We also reconfirmed if they have took note of our jumbo order. He acknowledged.
Waited untill 9.40pm. 1 hour and 25 minutes from the time we arrived! Still our food hasnt come. It’s only uncooked meats and seafoods! How come it takes this long?! Weve rechecked with the waiter two more times during this 1.5 hour period. Finally we all went to the waiter and ask him to properly check. He said they’re bringing it out in 5 minutes. I think they’ve forgotten to prepare our food! The waiter said he can give discount. We’ll find out that this was not true.
Got our first set by 10pm. Got everything by 10.30pm. 2 hours and 15 minutes after we arrived! We still need to cook everything as it was all raw as expected from a bbq place. It just doesnt make sense why it took over 2 hours to get our foods?! And we got a really small snow crab. Was expecting bigger ones from other people’s photos and we saw other table got a much bigger one. Price is the same regardless of the size. They gave us one stove. We asked for another so we got 2. The fire was slow that cooking takes forever. Food is tasteless. Seafoods werent fresh apart from Saba fish. Saba fish was good. Sauces taste like those malay nasi campur places. Beef yakiniku is mehh.. better get it from Sukiya. We finished eating at 11.45pm.
When we went to the counter, the discount wasnt given. Then the cashier only had receipts for our drink orders! Which means it’s true! They did forgot to take our meal order and only started preparing them once we rechecked for 4th times and after 1.5 hours of waiting! I just told her we ordered the Jumbo set.
Wont be coming back for sure. I spent RM1000 that night for a group of 6 pax. Not bad if the experience was good but this was far from the case. You’d be better off spending your money in other hotel buffets or high end restaurants in KL where top notch service and foods...
