📍Fox Paradox 🦊 @ Ampang
What does the fox say? 🦊🤪 The song might be long forgotten, but this neighbourhood cafe is still hot news 😏
Hash Brown Breakfast Stack (RM28) - The ultimate hash brown stack, caution messy but delicious! Comes with waffle fries 🍟 This was definitely the highlight of our meal. Five foodies visited this cafe together and all of us were madly in love with this creation 😍😍 We regretted for not ordering one more but we were too stuffed 🥲 This hash brown stack is crazy - melted cheese, fluffy scrambled egg, homemade chicken patty, fresh tomato and crispy hash brown ofc 🤪 My new found guilty pleasure 🤭 A must order if you visit Fox Paradox ⭐️ Prawn Brioche Roll (RM38) - Japanese mayo prawn roll served in a thick brioche loaf, and waffle fries on the side. This was my favourite ❤️ The thick brioche was buttery and toasted to perfection 🥹 So comforting and tasty!! They were so generous with the prawns, every bite was filled with a mouthful of fresh prawns coated in Japanese mayo 🍤 Can’t get enough of this 😩 Prawn Truffle Carbonara Pasta (RM38) - Truffle carbonara topped with juicy prawns and shredded parmesan. The truffle was prominent and you can smell it from a mile away 🤣 Highly recommend this if you’re a truffle lover. The carbonara pasta was creamy and pasta was al dente, prawns were plump - basically this dish was flawless 💯 Kimchi Gyoza Pasta (RM36) - Homemade kimchi & gyoza combined together topped with okra & shaved parmesan. Only at Fox Paradox can such intriguing combos work out so well 😍😍 The kimchi pasta was not bad at all. I was kinda skeptical about how it would taste but to my surprise, I enjoyed it very much 😚 The gyoza os pan fried and slightly bland, but its taste is automatically elevated when you pair it with the kimchi pasta which was sharp and funky 🤪 Salute to Fox Paradox team for coming up with such a crazy idea 🫡 A fusion that I’ve never seen before 😆 Blueberry Cheese Sourdough Toastie (RM28) 🫐 - made with homemade berry compote, melted cheese topped with cream cheese, on butter sourdough bread. Foodies were pretty impressed with this. The cheese was a nice twist to this dessert as it added a savoury component to it. The presentation was as beautiful as a painting 😍😍 Beat The Meat (RM57) - Breakfast for champions & ultimate meals! Australian Striploin with garlic butter, spinach, bread, hash brown and scrambled eggs. High in protein and perfect for gym junkies who wanna build muscles 💪🏻 Would have been better if the beef was less tough and chewy 🥺 The Slender Onion Man (RM34) - brioche bun, homemade chicken patty, scrambled eggs, loads of caramelised onions, melted cheese & Japanese mayo. Thiccc burger - I don’t want none unless you got buns hun 😎 A burger without cheese is like a hug without a squeeze, so this big boy was perfecto 👏🏻 Drinks: Earl Grey Cinnamon Coffee, Cinnamon Earl Grey Hojicha, Single Origin 72% Chocolate
We ended our meal with a slice of decadent chocolate fudge cake 😌 If you’re around the neighbourhood, it’s about damn time you explore this unparadoxically foxy...
Read moreAt first thought, it seems to be a hype place for dine. For over 20 years, i have known this tiny mall in front of Victoria's station restaurant whenever passed by to Ampang but never had a chance to go. So, this is my first time headed here. Lol. I have a quick catch-up with besties. Hence, we're planning to try out.
Overall satisfaction, excellent. It's kinda like pub/bar vibe, but actually, it wasn't. The interior restaurant looks modern and futuristic a bit, including the music brings clubbing moments. Surprisingly, im not sure if the owner was Malay or not, but all of the staff were Malay. Hmmm, the young generation nowadays is looking forward to something out of the box.
Food: We're order Beat The Meat, Prawn Truffle Carbonara Pasta, and Australian Striploin Salad. Big portion, we shared. Same dishes for 5 persons. The meat is so juicy. i'm just so in love with Australian striploin salad. it looks simple, but it's yummy. Carbonara is so delicious. Everything is well-made.
Beverage: All of the drinks were on point. Perfect made. As we're Malaysian always said "kaw kaw, padu terok!" Flavored Latte, Cinnamon Earl Grey Hojicha and Pressed Juice. I loveeeeee Hojicha so muchhhhh...
Dessert: You would have nice cakes for your appetizers. Suggesting you try basic flavor cakes at first instead of other flavor because if they can provide the basic cakes tastefully, then you can judge by the rest. That's how you can comment and evaluate how good the taste is.
Great services, nice vibe to gather around, no noise as we recommend you to bring partner instead whole family with kids. Unsuitable for kids here.
They open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM only. Location at Jalan Ampang. If you are familiar with Kenny Hills Baker Jalan Ampang, then just...
Read moreThe worst dining experience ever! If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would.
When my partner and I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty—no customers, no atmosphere, just dead silence. Despite that, we decided to give it a try based on the reviews. We chose a sofa seat and, since we were the only ones there, we pulled another table closer so we could sit more comfortably.
The food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, the waitress asked if it was for two people. We said yes, and she immediately pulled away the extra table, saying it was “house rules” that only one table is allowed for two guests. We pointed out that the restaurant was empty, so what difference did it make? She insisted it was the rule and offered to get the manager.
After waiting a while with no sign of the manager, my partner went to check. Only then did the manager stand up from his seat near the kitchen. When asked why we couldn’t use two tables in an empty restaurant, he kept repeating, “It’s the house rules.” My partner asked who set the rules, and he admitted that it was him and the owner. When we asked to speak to the owner, he conveniently claimed the owner wasn’t around and couldn’t be contacted.
Frustrated, we decided to leave and requested a refund since we had already paid when ordering. The manager then said the refund would take seven days to process—seriously? We asked for cash, but he said the restaurant doesn’t keep cash. At this point, it just felt like a complete joke.
What kind of restaurant operates with such poor customer service? Isn’t the whole point of a restaurant to cater to its customers’ needs? Now we understand why the...
