While this review is a bit behind the times (October 2023), I wanted to share my positive experience at Ruyi One.Cafe. This charming cafe serves up delicious Vietnamese cuisine, perfect for a light and satisfying lunch.
Flavorful Pho & Refreshing Summer Rolls:
My dining companion and I opted for the classics: pho and summer rolls. Both dishes were absolute hits. The pho broth was bursting with flavor, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The summer rolls were fresh, light, and packed with delicious fillings.
Must-Try Vietnamese Coffee:
No Vietnamese dining experience is complete without a cup of strong Vietnamese coffee, and Ruyi One.Cafe did not disappoint. The coffee was bold and aromatic, a perfect pick-me-up after our meal.
Swift Service:
The service at the cafe was fast and efficient. Our food arrived promptly, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
A Word on Ambiance:
The only minor drawback to our experience was the heat. The cafe's large windows let in a lot of sunlight, which can make the afternoon dining experience a bit warm. If you're seeking a cool and refreshing atmosphere, perhaps opt for a lunch visit on a less sunny day or consider an earlier or later time slot.
Overall:
Despite the slight warmth, my overall experience at Ruyi One.Cafe was excellent. The delicious food, fast service, and charming atmosphere make it a great spot for a casual Vietnamese lunch. Just be mindful of the potential afternoon heat if you're particularly sensitive to...
Read moreOrdered Taufu Broken Rice via Shopee food delivery. The food was delivered promptly but this dish is plain awful and a sad excuse for a vegetarian option.
The photo on your menu resembles Cơm Tấm but th actual dish delivered didn’t feature any of these sides depicted except for the sliced cucumber and pickles. I attached your menu photo and my Shopee order below as evidence of my order.
Chả trứng (Steamed meatloaf with egg) - Missing from my order. Bì (Pork skin sliced) - Also missing from my order. This is depicted on your menu with what looks like vermicelli and roasted rice, which is a common veg*n replacement. Scallion and oil garnish - Replaced with what looks like store-bought deep fried shallots which tastes nothing like Mỡ Hành. I take it you’re just being lazy. Sườn nướng - I expected marinated tofu as advertised on your menu but this looks like fuchuk skin drenched in oil and sliced onions. Fuchuk is beancurd/tofu skin. Taufu is taufu/tofu, and fuchuk is not tofu, so this is just misleading. Nước mắm pha - Expected dressing in a typical Cơm Tấm but this is also missing. Instead it is replaced with cut chillies in soy sauce. Result? The dish just tastes of oil and sauce sauce. No sweetness, no acidity.
If you’re going to charge RM27.00 for this dish, I expect effort. This meal is just disappointing and this is false advertising. I feel like you’re cutting corners serving up a completely different dish from the depiction on your menu. Nothing about the taste reminds me of com...
