I am not usually one for negative reviews because I know the struggles of running a small business but in this case I feel it is necessary. Given all the positive reviews, I was really looking forward to having a proper Sunday breakfast here today. I even brought my backpack in anticipation of loading up my freezer at home. All in all, it was pretty disappointing. There were only 3 tables occupied when we got there, yet still it was around 20 minutes before our order was taken. We both ordered the Scottish breakfast because of the tattie scones and wanted additional black pudding and toast on the side. We were told there was no black pudding or even mushrooms. We were given a choice of 2 sausage types, I chose Cajun because I like a bit of spice. When the plates arrived, the tattie scone turned out to be just a triangle of fried, unseasoned, mashed potato which was mushy and very oily. No relation to a tattie scone at all. I like my eggs runny but the whites were still uncooked, very unappetising. The Cajun sausage had absolutely no flavour, not even salt, never mind spice and there was no real texture to make you feel that you were eating a quality product...just nothing. In fact the whole plate was really bland, no seasoning or flavour at all. Worse still, the sausage was raw in the middle and I left it. Surprising for a place called SausageKL. My toast didn't come so I had to ask for it and when it did arrive, it was barely warm and looked like it had been wafted over a 40 watt bulb for 5 seconds to toast it. The bacon consisted of two very small, overcooked rashers which again, had no real flavour. I can understand it if one of the items on a plate is not up to scratch but not a single element of the breakfast plate was done properly. A full cooked breakfast, when done correctly is a wonderful thing, in fact I make a pretty good one myself but when you take the time to go somewhere that specialises in this, you expect it to be good and it really, really wasn't. Our friends at the other table felt the same way. On the upside, the mug of tea was decent. They could have been having an off day today but I don't think so and I very much doubt I will go again to find out. Based on my experience today, I couldn't, in good conscience recommend SausageKL to anyone I know. I am certainly confused as to where all the positive reviews are coming from. Not good at all...My search for a decent cooked breakfast in KL...

Jokes about sausage are the wurst - sorry, I can't help but to think of this when I write about this place that specialise in sausages, among other things.

My initial plan was to visit "If Only Cafe" but the waiting list stretched to more than 1 hour++. The growling tummies had to be fed there and then, and I remember reading about a place specialising in sausages nearby, after all the name suggested it all. Few minutes later, I parked my car in front of the hotel and walked in after doing all the SOPs.

At first I thought that I'd gone to wrong place but then a friendly voice greeted me as I pushed the door open... Inviting me to go in. Sat down, placed our order and waited for everything to be served.

◾They are selling frozen homemade sausages, nuggets, burger patties, gamma steak and others separately.. take away or delivery. Of course there's always option to dine-in which we did. ◾air conditioner was blasting at full capacity. ◾The Scottish - bacon, sausage, sunny side ups, beans, tomatoes, tattie scones.. this plate alone could satisfy any hungry souls who crave for a good breakfast. ◾Gammon steak with fries, eggs and pineapples - while I love the flavour of the bacon steak, I couldn't help but notice that the meat was too tough to chew. ◾Bangers & Mash - 2 sausages, mashed potato and onion gravy... Probably my favourite of the three dishes. The onion gravy was very good for me, making me stealing few spoons of the mashed potato together with the onion gravy... Sigh!

Sausages are definitely their forte.. and they have few types of sausage to choose from - go for their Cajun sausage. Also please improve the coffee too!

If there's one thing to improve on, it will be their ventilation. Our hairs and clothes smelled of smoke when we left the outlet after the lunch. Apart from that, we...

I had a very unfortunate encounter with sausage kl cafe & deli yesterday. Possibly just bad luck on my end. But here is my experience I like to share. I made my order on 3 Nov to have it delivered to my place by 10am on 6 Nov, payment was all made in advance. At 930am on 6 Nov, I receive no notification if there was a delivery on the way, so I messaged to ask. at 950am I was told, “my guys are cooking it up now. they got the days confused and thought sunday” at this point, there was no apology. I asked for an ETA, I was told within the hour at 9.59am. So I’m guessing, I should have my food by 11am right? I asked if the food left the shop at 1051am, I was told it has just left and “Please drop me your bank details i will send a refund”, at this point still no apology. The bad fortune continues with the delivery, at about 1145am the Mr Speedy delivery person called to ask for my exact address, I WhatsApp him my location at 1149am. He was literally less than 5 mins away. But 10 mins later, still not here. I called him, and was told that he cannot deliver my order until the correct address has been amended. He was only 500m away. And so, my 10am breakfast has turned to lunch at 1220pm. After much prompt, I received an apology from Sausage KL gotten a refund and an extra RM38 for my traumatic experience, which I’ve returned. If it’s a mistake, own it, not everything is about money. I do not recommend my experience to...

Last Sunday, my family and I decided to try out a new spot for brunch in Kuala Lumpur, and we stumbled upon Sausage KL Cafe and Deli. It turned out to be a delightful surprise! The cafe is a quaint, quiet space that immediately made us feel at home with its cosy atmosphere. We decided to order the Belly Buster, a generous platter that more than lived up to its name. This hearty dish included three back bacons, three streaky bacons, scrambled eggs, three house-made sausages, two black puddings, sourdough bread, fluffy pancakes, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, scotch eggs, and a hash brown. It was a feast fit for a family of five and offered something for everyone, and it was affordable too compared to all the other mainstream cafes in KL and PJ area. The standout for us was undoubtedly the scotch eggs—perfectly cooked with a deliciously seasoned exterior. Each component of the Belly Buster was cooked to perfection, making for a truly satisfying meal. The friendly and accommodating staff added to the experience by offering excellent recommendations and explaining the menu with genuine enthusiasm. Sausage KL Cafe and Deli is definitely a hidden gem in Kuala Lumpur. The delicious food and welcoming atmosphere left a great impression on us, and we can’t wait to return for another family brunch. Highly recommended!

This will be one of our lunch spots in Ampang now. Staffs were attentive and efficient, the place is clean, and ambient is pleasant. The air circulation (despite being a small space and serves greasy food) is really clean and has almost no overwhelming grease smell at all. We ordered: The Scottish (8/10) that had very nice tattie scones that compliments all the grease, sausage was slightly spiced, and (edited: back bacon) had a good smokiness to them. The Builder's Breakfast (9/10) was my favourite so far because the fried bread really glued the whole plate together. Sausage was more plain but I loved how 'freshly made' it tastes and how the casing had that 'crunch'. The black pudding was fresh and spiced so nicely too (I would prefer a touch less nutmeg, but I'm still super happy with it). Haggis (10/10) I've never had haggis but my husband said this is fairly good. I loved everything about this one. Crispy outside and super juicy and fatty inside. Not as gamey as I expected at all. I also appreciate the greens you served with the haggis. The whiskey thing on the side was also unexpected but very appreciated.
