Stopover — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Today while i was on the way to visit this cafe, i bumped in to some property expo staffs along the way. They gave me a cup of coffee as part of their marketing activity and i was not really a coffee person. Out of courtesy, i just accept it with thanks, then rushed to my meeting at this cafe.

At the counter i understand from the staff that no outside drinks allowed. I explained the situation and it was such a waste if i just throw it away. The staff understand and i ordered my pastries.

My friend who also bumped in to the expo staffs along the way (a surely pass by area when going to this cafe) having the same cup of coffee.

A moment later, the boss came with a sarcastic face saying "May i politely ask you not to bring outside drinks to the cafe?" we were stunt for a bit and explained to him it was from the property expo staffs and we were not intended to bring it in purposely but it will be such a waste if we just throw it away.

Then he said "please show some respect to the business" and i said "ok, it such a waste of it and where can i throw it? Or can help us to throw it?" He then with a very unfriendly tone replied "you bring it in, then you throw it out". Well my friend's son was kind enough to bring the 3 cups of coffee which we sipped for a few, send back to the property expo staffs and they said "oh my. its so wasted."

Under any circumstances, we respected the business, but the boss did not show any respect to the customers and put them in to an awkward situation as though we were their staffs. This kind of hospitality direct from the management to any customer is truly next level.

I will definitely NOT Stopover again based on this kind of service.

The food was just ok and i could get better from many other places...

If you want to experience a fine dining in a cafe house can come here. Every food served here is so so slow… We ( 2 people only) was the only customer here and there are 3-4 staff around. Drink came after 12 mins. First food arrived after 20 mins. Second arrived after another 20 mins. As for the waffle we need for almost 1 hour and only we ask the staff. The staff told us you have to told us only we will serve the waffle. OH GOSH!!! Then wait another 20 mins!. But as for food I will I will give credit on it. Can see they cook in air a fryer or microwave. Every food done at bar table. There is no kitchen. Every food served is hot and the smoke still appear at the final bite. Magic? But the portion is not big. So it definitely won’t value for money compare with the price. As for coffee it’s good too. I will come back if I’m not in rush. If you are in hurry...

Went there for a brunch and coffee, trust me.

Don’t ever waste your time and money here.

Firstly, staffs was like dead fish.

I ordered a smoked salmon big breakfast, it cost nearly RM40. I’m sorry to say but i spit out the smoked salmon out after the first taste, the smoked salmon was extremely stale and reeked of a strong smelly taste. Normally, I wouldn’t do something as impolite as this, but this was just too much to bear.

What’s even worse, the staff notice me spit out their food and continued to look down, playing on their phones.

This restaurant might have been decent when it just started, but now, I strongly advise everyone to stay away.

If the owner sees this, please work on improving your employee; otherwise, consider closing down and leaving this prime location to those who are genuinely committed to...
