We were about to start our dinner service with bread and the waiter suddenly begun to clear our plates. This was when we were literally halfway eating (imagine putting a bite of bread in your mouth and all of a sudden your plate disappears because it’s been taken by none other than the waiter himself!). Years of dining, I don't think I have ever encountered such atrocity where a waiter would decide to interrupt a meal in this manner, all without a word of notice. When we questioned why were the plates cleared, the response offered was that the first dish of our course menu has arrived. If that is the case, a simple, “Sir/Miss, the first dish have arrived, would you be alright if I were to clear the plates now and serve it?” would that not have sufficed? I was quite taken aback that such basic courtesy of checking in with customers before proceeding to abruptly clear our plates was simply neglected. They even appeared to be in a rush to serve the dish, looking as they decidedly took away our plates with bread still on it. It is perfectly understandable that there might be a 'rush' in any dinner service but, the manner in which we were not afforded any notice or courtesy whilst eating - is the very part that went down, which I do find quite difficult to understand or accept! Especially so, when this incident took place at the beginning of service, obviously caused disruptions in the mood for the entire evening. I won't forget to also mention that the overall service seemed to be quite unprofessional. The waiter at many instances came so close during serving (plates being passed right above our heads, leaning in close to serve) that we had to be mindful of them rather than the other way round? Now, that was an added disappointment. As for the food, I'd say it was just fairly average - we had the chef’s special menu for a starter of goat cheese salad, first main of Anchovy Pasta, second main of Chicken Scallopini, finishing with what tasted like condensed milk panna cotta. I guess after such a service, if the food didn't wow us..perhaps it's not worth a return visit.

A truly 5 star experience from my previous experience 9 years ago. The staff were amazingly helpful, attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the view speaks for itself. I started with the complimentary bread which was more like long croutons. Baked with olive oil, it was flavorful and when dipped with the accompanying dips, elevated the experience more. Next we're the Beef Prosciutto & Buffalo Mozzarella Crostini. Thinly sliced cured beef pairs well with the buffalo Mozzarella on top of the crusty crunchy Crostini bread made this a great starter. The pasta Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was a letdown for me. Although the pasta was cooked to perfection al-dante, the sauce however lacked flavorful especially when there's seafood. It should be bolder and punchier but here it was very mild. The Seafood was plenty of course. The Scallopini di Pollo Al Limone e Olive Verde was amazing. The chicken was super moist and juicy and the salty olives and mushrooms and artichokes mated well with the chicken basking it with saltiness and a pinch of sourness. It was a good balance. The House Made Italian Sausage pizza was delicious and delightful. The sausages cut into small pieces and scattered on the pizza with sweet sour capsicums, pickled onions and tomato sauce base was simply wonderful. The way an authentic pizza supposed to taste. I would give the chocolate cake a miss and go for the gelato especially Fior de Latte. Now that's an Italian gelato! Was it better now than 9 years ago? No it wasn't better, it was MUCH better. Last time I had the small cramped space upstairs and you had to navigate thru the suspended spiral staircase. Everytime you need to go up and down you need to cross with the servers as the kitchen is upstairs and main dining at the lower level. This time I sat at the lower level and it was much cooler, roomier. You should give this place a try for some excellent Italian food with a scenic view of KL

Food was disappointing to say the least. The chick peas bruschetta was delicious, but then it all went downhill from there. Wild mushroom pizza was good but nothing to write home about, and the pasta dishes we had were actually bad. Spaghetti was too soggy and overcooked (cardinal sin of pasta!), tortellini was way too salty, and the taste for both was distinctly unremarkable. Tiramisu tasted average, with the candied hazelnuts being an unnecessary distraction from what a good tiramisu should be. I'm sure there are certain other items on the menu that would be better, but especially given the price point, one would expect a higher overall quality of food. Waiter who served us was friendly and helpful, but did not seem to understand English well. Beyond taking our order and recommending a few specials from the menu, further communication was a struggle despite his best efforts. Which is fine, but again, given the price point one would expect a more effortless consumer experience. If you're considering dining here, manage your expectations that the high price you'd be paying is more for the good view rather than the food. If you're thinking of coming here for the food, there are other authentic Italian restaurants in KL that would be a safer bet.

Extremely Disappointed - Empty for a Reason

My experience at this establishment was nothing short of disappointing. The overall ambiance was lackluster, leaving the place almost empty, and I now understand why. The waitstaff's behavior was nothing short of rude, with the Malay lady at the front being particularly offensive. Her presence only added to the negative atmosphere.

The waiters' impoliteness was evident throughout my entire visit, making me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. It is disheartening to see such unprofessional conduct from the staff, which reflects poorly on the business as a whole.

Moreover, the service was sluggish, making the entire dining experience unnecessarily prolonged. The lack of attentiveness from the staff only reinforced the feeling of being unimportant and unworthy of their attention.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone, as the poor service and rude behavior overshadow any potential positives. It is evident that this establishment has a long way to go in improving their customer service and creating a welcoming environment for patrons.

I hope that management takes these criticisms constructively and works towards rectifying the issues to improve the overall customer experience. Until then, I cannot see myself returning, and I urge others to avoid this...
