This review came late.. Super late... And my apologies for it.. Visited KUL in November 2022 and was craving for K-food.. Did some research and came upon KungJung Korean so decided to give it a try..
Upon arrival, what amazed me was the authentic look of the restaurant. The view made me forgot for a moment that I was in KUL.. For that brief moment, it was like I had been teleported to Korea..
The restaurant is super spacious and has a welcoming and comfy, relaxing feel to it.. The staffs are friendly too.. Whenever I head to a restaurant, good food is one that matters.. But service standards is critical to me too.. No matter how good the food is, if the service is not there, I would never go again or even recommend it.. But KungJung is different.. The service there is 👍👍👍..
So, we ordered some main dishes like the cold noodles and stew.. We also decided to grill some meat. The food is delicious and appealing to the taste buds. The second the food touches your tongue, it sends a signal straight to your stomach, awakening the senses, making your stomach screams "send me the food. I want to taste it" 😂😂.. It's just so nice and tasty.. When we wanna grill the meat, to our delight, the young lady boss came foreward and helped us with it, and we engaged in small chats during the process..
I shall not spoil the fun and tell too much.. End of the day, heading there and experiencing the whole thing yourself is better and more rewarding than any words given. It will be worth the trip and time. Oh, and I believe they recently renovated within the start of the year..
I miss the food so much up till now.. Looking forward to my next KUL trip, definitely will come by to KungJung Korean Restaurant once again..
Price wise, I can only say it is definitely worth the value, given the service, the quality, the freshness of the ingredients, the presentation of the food, the proportion, etc etc.
KungJung Korean is an authentic K-food restaurant, birthed by a Korean lady. So if you want K-food while you are in KUL, do come here for a bite. And the best part, it is halal certified.. So, if you are a Muslim, or travelling with one, set your mind at ease...

Read moreA hidden gem but worth the effort to park your car at the PNB Darby Park, go out and to the back of the Park, get on the escalator to the 3rd Floor where cheerful and excited waiters and waitresses (sorry, they are not dressed in traditional garbs but in modern I-am-ready-to-serve uniforms) announced your arrival to other patrons with the normal Korean greetings and salutation of welcome, "Annyeong Haseyo". Having being ushered to your table (best make advance booking for your night out) the menu is presented and your waiter/waitress happily chirping away with you in Korean (twas really nice to hear, Mary (our waitress for that night) presenting the menu and recommending the food and drink in Korean). If you are new to Korean cuisines, best leave it to Mary to recommend the menu for you. Kimchi, bulgogi, bibimbap, seollengtang, dak galbi, bingsu and others. Food at Kung Jung was extremely delicious (giving Sweet Tree in Ampang a run for its money!!!), the portions were just-nice for the 15 of us!!! We were smart enough to have asked Mary to bbq the meat for us away from our tables 😁 (dont want to smell like barbecued meat walking back to our vehicles later 😅😅😅!!!) ... of all those dishes I ate that night I enjoyed most was the salt-&-oil combo "sauce". Was sure my blood pressure went sky high for it but I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH!!! 😂😂😂 ... was a wonderful dining experience, made me feel like I was back in Buzan again (minus the zombies in the train, of course 😉) ... would I dine at Kung Jung again? Yes, I would, no doubt about it! Would I recommend you guys to dine there? NO, I WOULDNT!!! Why? Because we would not get a table if you are all there in Kung...
