This place actually turned up in a Google search when I was looking for "best egg tarts in KL". Visited this place on a Sunday morning to try out the egg tarts and the place wasn't crowded at all. Realized that they have other different kind of pastries other than egg tarts so we bought some others to try as well. They do have a variety of items in their menu but we already had breakfast and just wanted something light here. First we had the egg tarts which I thought was very good. It was fresh eating it on the spot while it was still quite hot, the pastry was flaky and the egg was good. The siew bao was another surprise that it was delicious and the crust was crispy. The kaya puff was very average, nothing to rave about. I think overall I still quite like this place and would recommend the egg tart and siew bao here. What I didn't like was the size of the pastries they were so small like it was bite size. Just eating one is not enough to satisfy so you probably have to eat a couple of them. The price is just 1.1RM so probably there's nothing to complain about, but I just wish they make the pastries of typical...
Read moreA pastry shop in the front with a dining area at the back serving food, drinks & dessert. Their signature pastry is the Mini kaya Puff, Egg Tart & Coconut Tart . The pastry is flaky but bland; the coconut filing luckily has a slight flavour but overall lack the punch (it can achievable by a moist concentrated core) and the egg filing has soft texture but overall lacks flavour. Their Kaya Puff has more bland pastry than the mid-thin brown Kaya filling which is too sweet; there is no balance here and come with a charcoal bottom that affects the taste. Overall taste for the pastries is below average. Big size for the range of pastry is only available for their Kaya Puff where the rest are in Mini size. They also sell outstation snacks (Sin Joo heng, Teluk Intan). The lady boss is informative & patient now. Parking is extremely...
Read moreBad service from the slim lady which I think is the boss as she has been there since the opening years ago. Recently they installed an entrance glass door with transparent 'pull/push' sticker which will be confusing when you look at it, thus easily mistaken pull/push.
When informed them about the confusing door design. The lady boss responded "Your brain cannot distinguish the right direction". If only myself confused, then might be my own problem but subsequent customers who enter/exit the store also confused about the door direction including my mother as well.
Definitely, not going to patronize a store anymore that indirectly implying customer...
