Restoran Toms in Taman Desa, definitely deserved 5 star rating and have been operating for more than 20 years nothing about their business dying at all. Continue to operate many more years to come so I could enjoy your food all the time. Every time I ordered their food always come to my table quickly and efficiently. Unless sometimes they are full house, all service and preparation will be slower due to very limited staff because it’s a very small family operated restaurant so we have to be more understanding rather than straight expect 5 star right away service. This restaurant isn’t a 5 star high class restaurant with butler standing by our side waiting orders too.

Now with their current new dishes oyster omelette(Oh Chien) with quite big pieces of oysters, this dish will never ever lose out man. I even requested to eat it raw with lemon and Tabasco. Overall all I can say...

The food is just average, ok for a meal but not one you would return for more.

1. To address the staff shortage, the restaurant prepares all the condiments, sauces for patrons, on self service style. Quite a good way to save the manpower as well as unnecessary business costs.

3. The attentiveness of the service is generally not there, but understands the shortage of manpower.

4. The restaurant should consider having the patrons to place the orders using an order sheet or QR code to reduce the waiting time.

5. Make it aware that patrons are dining at a restaurant with lack of manpower, so most things are self-served.

This shop doesn’t deserve a rating Very rude server ( not sure if she is the co owner) I had no choice but to go there because we were at the hospital nearby. Served rice without chicken waited about 10 mins , when chicken arrived rice was cold already . When I asked the server - Turn by turn mah- I told her then bring my rice together when the chicken is ready this was ignored Guy chopping chicken takes his sweet time.
