Japanese Restaurants that serves Japanese food especially "Teppan" Iron Plate Dishes, Kushiyaki/Yakitori, Nabemono mini pot, Hamburger Steak, Okonomiyaki, Tempura/Kakiage, Sake/Alcoholic Drinks, etc. Pricing below not yet include Service Charges and Tax. Atmosphere: 4.25🌟 Its not very big place but it has plenty tables inside and few tables on the outside which seems good spot at night as it oversee the parking area surrouding it and mildly busy road after that. The seats inside have decent gaps from which others and also has dividers. Overall design is quite nice and comfy but it does feels a bit surrounded/packed/tight. Service: 4🌟 Ordering is from this small tablet on the table with nice pictures and all. You can refer back to the list of items you have submitted/ordered but somehow the Bill is not working so you have to mentally track how much you have ordered carefully uf you want to remain within certain limit. Food: Skewers 3.75🌟 - Fried Chicken 3.25🌟, Normal Chicken 3.75🌟, Pork 3.75🌟 The one coated and fried and then skewered chicken thigh is decent (the batter is not thick) but the normal one is definately better for me. Priced at Rm 7 for each skewers above but generally ranges between Rm 6 to 8 I think Food: Teppan Garlic Fried Rice 3.5🌟 The fried rice is decently fragrant but the layer of egg below (at the base of the teppan) surrounding the rice improved this dish for me. This dish remains hot but the teppan is not burning the dish so its nicely controlled. Priced at Rm 14 Food: Kakiage Corn 3.75🌟 This looks simple but its quite a nice snack actually. Priced at Rm 8 Drinks: Green Tea (Cold) Not sure if its refillable but its quite expensively priced at Rm 6

Came with high expectations, especially after reading gleaming reviews. Left super disappointed by the abysmal food and portion size. What we tried: 1. Stewed Pork Hamburg Steak - 2/5, RM34 for a small portion size with 2 measly pieces of carrot and broccoli. Taste was decent but was it worth RM34? Definitely not. 2. Tokachi Butadon - 2/5, RM27 for such dry pieces of thinly sliced pork belly and again, THE SMALLEST PORTION SIZE. I would’ve given it a 1/5 if not for the decently tasting edamame they included. A similar bowl from other places (i.e. in Publika) would’ve costed less, tasted better and brought satisfaction to the meal. This was NOT IT. 3. Teppan Unagi Rice - 4/5, RM40 and the only saving grace of the meal. Tasted great and was satisfyingly umami. -1 for the portion size — didn’t feel it was worth the RM40. Again, the same dish from other places (i.e. in Publika) would’ve costed less or about the same, with a bigger portion size. 4. Pork Belly, Enoki Roll, Lady Finger Roll (yakitori) - 3/5, RM6, RM7, RM7. Your average yakitori, nothing special. But again, portion size was teeny tiny for the Enoki and Lady Finger rolls, hence the 3/5. Note: Their green tea cup is also, again, super teeny tiny. But at least it was refillable. Service was good, very speedy. Atmosphere was alright but felt very cramped and noisy due to the size of the indoor seating area. Conclusion, would personally never return.

Teppan Sakaba, located in Faber Towers at Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur, is a Japanese Izakaya that brings the flavors of teppanyaki cooking to life. The restaurant has a cozy, charming ambiance, designed to resemble a small Japanese town, which makes for a unique dining experience. The interior is well-decorated, with an authentic Japanese vibe that enhances the overall atmosphere. The menu at Teppan Sakaba is quite extensive, offering a variety of traditional Japanese dishes, with teppanyaki being the main highlight. Some popular items include their Chicken Meatballs, Black Pepper Beef, and Sukiyaki. However, based on my personal experience, the food was average at best. The Black Pepper Beef, in particular, was disappointing as it wasn't as tender as I had hoped. The Sukiyaki was decent, but nothing special to write about. On the upside, the Chicken Meatballs were quite enjoyable.Prices at Teppan Sakaba are reasonable, making it a good option for those looking to enjoy Japanese cuisine without breaking the bank. The restaurant has managed to gain popularity in the area due to its authentic atmosphere and diverse menu offerings. Overall, while Teppan Sakaba offers a pleasant dining environment with reasonable prices, the food quality could be improved. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving Japanese food, but don’t set your expectations too high.
