This place offers Yong Tau Foo, Chee Cheong Fun, Dim sum, Steam Fish, Loh Mee, Prawn Mee, Wan Tan Mee, etc. Environment: 4๐ŸŒŸ Service: 4.25๐ŸŒŸ Food: Assorted Yong Tau Foo 3.5๐ŸŒŸ - Long Beans 3.5๐ŸŒŸ, Chili 3.25 ๐ŸŒŸ, Tofu 3.5๐ŸŒŸ, Ladies Finger 3.75๐ŸŒŸ, Small Tao Pok 3.25๐ŸŒŸ, Fu Zuk 3.5๐ŸŒŸ, Fish Minced 3๐ŸŒŸ, Brinjal 3.75๐ŸŒŸ, Soup 3.5๐ŸŒŸ, Soup Dumplings 3.5๐ŸŒŸ Long Beans size is a bit small. Chili is quite a decent size. Tofu is big and ordered pure fish which the paste is quite ok but not very big paste. Lady Finger is very long but still quite young. Small Tao Pok is quite meaty but feels a bit like Yao Za Guai. Fu Zuk is meatier than usual and good size. Fish Minced is basically just the paste without anything else, medium size but thin so probably the least worth item. Brinjal is good but overall their fried is oily maybe they didn't push/heat out/dry the oil enough. For soup, it's quite nice and it comes with some veggies. For dumplings, it's a bit flat but the ingredients are colourful (veggies and meat) and flavorful. The fish they used seems to be called Belinda but I think the pure fish isn't worth it as it doesn't taste better than mixed. Each item is priced at Rm 2.70 for mixed meats, Rm 3.50 for pure fish which is a bit more expensive than usual. Food: Assorted Dim Sum 3.5๐ŸŒŸ - Century Egg 3.5๐ŸŒŸ The meat paste feels very fresh and the egg is 1/8 of full egg. Priced at Rm 5.80 (2 medium pieces). Food: Chee Cheong Fun 3.25๐ŸŒŸ Ordered with curry which is very average. The CCF is not bad. Priced at Rm 2.60 Drinks: Plain Water Cold priced at Rm 1

Supposed to be one of the best Yong Tau Foo around this area which was the main reason why we decided to visit this shop today... but....honestly after trying the food here.. Just one comment: food is well... nothing to shout about. Tried the following here: 1) Fried YTF Well probably the only nice thing is that all the YTF is prepared fresh. You pick the vegetable or tofu, etc and they will prepare this dish fresh. Well the food is really nothing different than you buy fish cake from the supermarket and fry them yourself. Taste the same...and much cheaper. Rating 2.5 ๐ŸŒŸ 2) Soup YTF This is nicer and the soup is also quite nice. However fishball and meatballs are the usual stuff you will find from the supermarket. However the Chilli sauce is really good...nice and spicy. Rating 3 ๐ŸŒŸ 3) Grilled Fish Ikan Kembong we ordered was so so.. Tasteless actually which I supposed the owners wanted us to taste the original taste. Also the scales were so hard that we had to strip it off from the skin using a fork. Two types of Chilli sauces were prepared for this dish (which is why I assumed the above). Rating 3 ๐ŸŒŸ basically saved by the great Chilli sauces. One more thing is that YTF is very expensive at RM1.70 per piece. Compared to price of say IPOH..it's RM60c or RM70c per price. That's the difference. Well as to taste...its nothing compared to Pudu YTF or Ampang YTF. At this restaurant, nothing we tried stands out except for the Chilli sauces.

One of the best in taste and freshness that I have tried. It is cooked when you pick the food and placed the order. So it is very fresh. Some unique choices that I like are mushroom, egg and yau cha kuai Yong Tau Fu, aside from my usual lady's finger and white tofu. I would also recommend the sour plum lime juice. ----------------------------------------------- 04/01/2020 I regularly patronise this restaurant but haven't been for the past month or so. I was pleasantly surprised today that they started serving BBQ. Without any hesitation, I abandon my craving for Yong Tau Fu temporarily. I ordered BBQ fish, prawns, squid, pork and scallop. My wife liked the scallop and squid, whereas my son had most of the BBQ pork. I enjoyed the prawn and the fish with their in-house Vietnamese green chilli sauce. Price is so reasonable you'll shake your head in disbelieve. The fish cost RM9, a whole fish. Even my regular ikan kembung hawker stall is selling at RM11/fish. Squid is RM19, which again is a steal. I don't know any place that sells below RM28 for a whole squid. Prawn is RM4/each, scallop is RM5/each. Forgot how much is the pork. This is definitely a gem in the city if you ask me. Will be back again soon.
