My visit to Pink Elephant on 13/2/2023 at 6:00 pm was marred by the restaurant's rigid reservation policy, unclear wait times, and a touch of rudeness from the cashier staff. Despite visible empty tables, I was initially informed of an 8:30 pm slot. After questioning, the wait was mysteriously shortened to 7:30 pm. Dissatisfied, I opted for QQ Steambot Kepong, where I experienced prompt service and a diverse menu. Notably, QQ Steambot offered an exceptional feature – unlimited refill for prawns and seafood, making the dining experience even more satisfying. Pink Elephant, don't overstate your exclusivity.

Issues:

Was greeted upon a girl and guy staff when we reached at 5:30pm ish. The girl was taking a call and we waited for her to finish out of courtesy. The guy was waiting for her too probably because he is new or is waiting for her directions. After the girl finished the call, the guy was telling us about their menu but the girl stared at him and gave him a hand gesture towards her phone in front of us. The guy instantly got the message and ask us to wait until 9:10pm. It gave the impression that our seat were given to someone else because they prioritize reservation more. Felt like this situation could have been handled better.

Understand that you need to make reservation, but there were 70% empty seats, they should have gave some seats for the people who walk in especially if your restaurant is still new. Would like to emphasize that the girl we were greeted in the cashier was so rude, not going to...

My first time on airconditioning mookata bbq/steamboat. The space is big but their ventilation is not working and make the place so smokey. Be prepare to cough and sneeze while eating since the smoke ventilation is not working.

The soup - Corn soup is good but kaeng som is so not kaeng som. The taste is out.

Not much choice but the dishes arrange is clean. Thai milk Tea and Green milk tea is good.

They could do better. Mookata Bbq and steamboat don't need to have air conditioning, beat the purpose of the original concept.

Price is not bad.

The Chinese staff (girl) who serve my table does reply when I speak in English or Malay, ( if you don't understand respond to me, so I could speak Thai back to you) she keep being so blur. The other staffs looks like Thai they are alert.
