The Best of All Worlds

First off, this is a review of their delivery service and not their dine-in.

A place to be seen at pre-pandemic, bustling with live performances and entertainment with a cool and chic environment nestled within The Publika. How do they fare in a delivery service?

Service: We placed the order via a third party app which was pretty straight forward.

Packaging: They arrived in pretty standard take-away boxes

Build your own pasta (Rm 35.90)

What we personally love about building our own pasta, is the fact that we can make it as flavourful and tasty as possible (although most of the time it may not necessarily mean healthy). Today’s pasta was constructed on a Aglio Olio foundation cooked Al dente and topped with tender, peppery grilled chicken with a slightly crispy skin. This was accompanied by a generous amount of juicy beef bacon with some fat attached adding flavour to the dish. Completing the dish was a downpour of aromatic fried onions, garlic and crunchy mushrooms.

Recommended? For picky and selective eaters such as ourselves, this proved to be a perfect customisable dish.

If you're averse to cigarette smoke and suffer from respiratory issues, you unfortunately have to stay away. Went to a gig there recently, asked first what the rules on smoking there were since it's indoors and an enclosed space, was told that smoking is only allowed in the bar area.

When I went there however, everyone was smoking everywhere. Ventilation is also very poor, so not only was the smoke filling the place it was also very warm.

I unfortunately paid a lot of money to see the band and had to power through while suffering quite a lot of respiratory distress the whole time and having to go out and walk some distance away to take a breath every little while.

Just keep that in mind if you have respiratory issues, don't trust what is said about the...

Love the vibe & how intimate the place is for concerts & small shows. Went to a few concerts here and had a great time!

However, some people can very inconsiderate during the shows (laughing out loud, talking & some even argue with each other during the shows), which disrupts other people who goes to these shows to watch their favourite singers or bands playing. It also shows how disrespectful they are towards the singers & bands, which is very disappointing to watch.

Would be great if The Bee has a bouncer or a security guard that goes around checking and making sure that everyone behaves appropriately during the shows.
