You can whatsapp or call +6011-36390695 if you are unable to locate the shop and/or to make reservation.
You can park in Wisma Cosway (chargeable), right after the boomgate there is parking on the right side, yellow box parking.
Enter through main entrance, beside MyNews. You will see a pair of escalator, go up and turn right at the top. It's dark and creepy, be warned. Continue walking pass a couple of shops until you see a green chair with a penguin sitting on it. (Before/beside shop is selling homemade Steam Rice/Soup). Press the doorbell (lighted blue).
Alvin is super knowledgeable about his drinks, it's so impressive how he can remember how each drink taste like. I admit i was scrolling insta to see which drink looks pretty to order.

The presentation of the cocktails are on point. Quality spirits are used, when you take a sip, fuhhh you can taste the strength of the liquor. The cocktail definitely has Cock in it. One glass and im already lightheaded, i had Cocomo (tall glass, blended).
I'm usually boring, only take Whisky with Ginger Ale. So this is a refreshing change.
Toilet is available right outside of Rebel (turn left after you exit).
I think it's an interesting place that should have gained much more traffic but i do feel that it's strange to open in Wisma Cosway, it's creepy towards late night, and there's quite abit of foreign workers loitering outside the main entrance, so it's best not to go alone especially if...
Read moreThe bartender, has been at this game since his Wisma Cosway days, and you can tell. He’s a one-man show most nights, shaking, pouring, chatting when he can, retreating behind the bar when the orders stack up. When it’s quiet, he’ll wander over, pull up a chair and tell you the story behind your drink.
The new space breathes better, bigger than the old place, but still manages to feel like you’re in on a secret. People linger here. Hours slip by. There are also card games in the corner, though most folks just bask in the glow of the neon lighting and chat.
The drinks are wildly creative, unapologetically playful, served in unicorn mugs or something that looks like it fell out of a charity shop. The menu’s a beautiful mess, equal parts genius and sugar rush, and while the flavours can blur together after a few, the spirit behind them is consistent: joy, with a little edge.
When the place fills up, service trims down to quick exchanges and, in rare cases, drinks lose their nuance, tasting ever so slightly flatter. But here’s the thing: this isn’t a soulless assembly line. You forgive the rough edges because you know someone’s hustling to make sure you’ve got something worth drinking, not just pulling pints of Guinness under a tap.
The Rebel Penguin isn’t the kind of bar that wins mixology trophies. It’s the kind that wins you over. It’s a place with a point of view, a sense of humour and a bartender who’s clearly having the time of his life making sure...
Read moreIf you are looking for a place with cool 70s vibe, super friendly mixologist in an intimate and cozy setting, then this is definitely the place for you. Formerly a hair salon, this place has now been transformed into a chic speakeasy bar with a retro feel. For first time visitors, make an appointment and the directions to this disco themed venue will be provided. The first thing you will notice (after being greeted warmly at the entrance) is the music. Being a child of the seventies (yes, I am that old), the music really brings back memories of my happy, blissful childhood. The cocktail menu is extensive and each one is curated and crafted carefully by the man with the beret behind the bar. He is super friendly and you can tell him what you are looking for in a cocktail and he will offer you a suggestion on which one of his many creations you can try first. The cocktails all come in different and fun receptacles and they are garnished with a wide array of edible goodies (some even provided a throwback to my childhood snacks). So, do pay a visit to this classic establishment and you may just find your favourite...
