What a joke this place is with so so average food. Actually intended to go to Ping Wah for dinner, but walked past this restaurant and was "hassled" by a big chubby person (must be 1 of the owners). First big lie, he told us, "there is only 2 restaurants in this block, nothing further", my fault for not checking his claims (but after dinner, I walked another 30m and Ping Wah was opened, never mind). He proceeded to take orders and typical fashion, tried to push all the expensive items. We wanted Kampung Chicken, but he says only "upper portion" left, which we rejected but he kept pushing to say it was nice, c'mon, who wants to eat the bonny upper parts. We declined anyways, asked for "Mah Yau Yu"..., "Chubby owner" says it's deep fried, but my dad asked if he can pan fry and he says yes, our deep fried is like pan fried??? subtle difference I know, but it's just lies after lies. These were all red flags and I should have just walked out but there were 4 of us. Anyways, had the deep fried fish, tofu, bean sprouts and braised pork with yam. Soooo disappointing especially when we did not intend to eat at this place. Anyways, you decide, the place was crowded, but maybe because "Pasar Malam" was on that Sunday. Never going back to this...

Two dishes that got me coming back once in a while - steamed chicken and curry pork ribs. Taking two shoplots side-by-side, they are doing good business on any given day.
◾Whole kampung chicken - sweet & tender meat despite being kampung chicken drenched in soy sauce + scallion oil combo; but the game changer would be the shallot oil with spring onion and ginger which I had to ask for topup. ◾curry pork ribs - tender ribs, but most importantly the curry gravy was thick & flavourful + not spicy at all that the young ones can eat without worry.. ◾steamed grass carp with minced ginger - nice gingery aroma ◾stir fried yaw mak ◾Soup - pig stomach soup with peppercorn would get approval from the Hakka although those in Serdang ones care better. You'd notice a big cauldron in front of the restaurant where they use to boil the soup.
While most of their dishes cater more for families or group of diners, they do have individual dishes such as chicken rice for quick and fuss-free meal, especially...
