Meal: DX Mameton Set (jumbo prawn, pork fillet, and pork tenderloin) Ordered the meal via GrabFood. It was still warm when I receive the order. Good: Not oily. The fried prawn and pork are not greasy, which is nice. It won't make you feel nauseous like some deep fried tempura does. The pork also lacked any layers of fat. This is good if you are watching your waistline. 3 types of condiments were given. Something for every taste. Sesame, tartar, and one more I couldn't tell. The miso soup is nice too. Miso flavour is not diluted, and there are some nice chewy stuff in the soup. Definitely not the cheap variant sold in budget sushi chains. Bad: The pork fillet is slightly dry and hard to swallow. The pork tenderloin is still somewhat acceptable. However, I wished they removed the head on the prawn. Also, they say it's jumbo size but not really. The batter made it look bigger, but the meat isn't that thick or big in actuality. This meal costs RM50+. Pretty costly. I'm not sure if it's worth it because I don't find it to be that great. Just a small serving of prawn and pork plus rice and miso soup. The vegetable is shredded cabbage, which is hardly an expensive vegetable. Recommend? I don't think the expensive price tag is justified but try once if you like fried food and pork. There are other cheaper variants in the menu. Also recommend pork tenderloin as opposed to pork fillet because you won't feel like you're chewing tobacco.

Have been wishing to go this place for quite sometime and finally the day has come. It fully live up to my expectation and deserve every bit of craving to come to here. It even outdo some Japan katsu shop right in Japan, quoted from my Japanese friend. It was the softest katsu meat I ever had in my life (I just want to use bombastic word to tell you how soft is it, but I don't have hundreds times of katsu experience though), it just break off easily with a bite. Breaded skin was neither dry nor too oily. Miso sauce I had is kinda salty, I still prefer to get katsu at its original taste or with plum sauce. Nonetheless, this was a greatly satisfying meal. Anyone would be able to fill up their tummy in here as rice, miso soup, cabbage is free flow, eat till you drop. All katsu set comes with a rice, miso soup, cabbage, and radish pickle. And not forgotten the cute raddish paste ball. We are unsure of the reason for it to be made into a small ball, but they are super cute. Price: RM30.90 before tax, Food: 10/10

Good food and good service. One of my favorite restaurants. Especially like the refillable cabbage, multi grain rice, miso soup. Ambience is good too Today, 25 Jan. 2022, we came back to the outlet in Publika, KL because we were in the heart of the city for some chores and this outlet is the nearest since it's just 25 minutes away and it was 8:05pm. This outlet is usually not as crowded and we got ourselves a table. I ordered my usual Rosa Katsir but the jumbo version while my daughter had the regular set. To my surprise, the yellow radish pickles were so thinly sliced, unlike what was previously. The jumbo breaded pork had also seemed to have shrunken, although the price remained unchanged. My daughter convinced me that price of ingredients had gone up while they maintain the price. Sad but true. I still love the food.

I just went to your Tonkatsu publika. You have one foreign female fat lady waitress who ridiculously cocky and rude when I informed her that the chair besides me is dirty and has oily stain on the seating cushion. She rudely and counter-blaming us that the table not yet finish cleaning but we want to use that still. Firstly, I don't go and monitor which table is cleaned and which table not finish cleaned. If she knows that table is not finish cleaning then why she still accompany us walking towards to that table and not telling us at all while walking towards to that table. Secondly, the table has no any signal of not yet cleaned indeed and the chairs are all properly placed. So these indicated that they actually have cleaned but overlook on the chair cushion. When i found the said chair is dirty and has oil stain, she counter-complain us.

This is such a reputation damaging to your company. More importantly, you shop is F&B. Japanese food restaurant should adopt a good service. We dont pay service charge of 10% for the rude treatment and dirty seats. Its a shame to bring friends and Japanese guests to dine at...

after a trip to japan, my family started coming to this restaurant because we missed the food, and now we are regular customers. can't recommend it enough! my favourite is the mille feulle cheese katsu, but i usually get the hire katsu. i also recommend the sakana set, ebi katsu, katsudon, chicken katsu, and curry udon.

although i always get the hire katsu, i definitely recommend ordering the jumbo hire katsu instead if you are trying it for the first time, so that you get the best experience. the hire katsu sometimes gets overcooked and slightly tough, but this issue doesn't happen with the jumbo hire katsu because it's thicker and takes more time to cook. my mother always does this when she wants to have hire katsu, and gives me a slice, since the portion is big and she can't finish it all.

rice, vege, and soup is refillable, which you should definitely take advantage of!! unfortunately, i see that a lot of people can't finish their meals, so if you think your appetite isn't very big, consider sharing with another person. the food is too...
