Uncle Don's (Fortune Avenue, Kepong) — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

21/08/25 , my husband & I came for dinner at about 6.30 pm. After 30 minutes of order placement, one of the waiters came to inform that the seabass fillet was out of stock. Feeling already hungry & agitated, i placed a new order for spaghetti, thinking it should not take long this time right ? I had to wait for another 20 minutes to find out that your chef is just about to start preparing my meal. There were only a few tables occupied outside, i dont understand the wait and the miscommunication between your staffs because after the first waiter , there come another kitchen staff 10 mins later asking me to place new order repeating the same story again. Hello, so confusing , I wasnt even sure my new order was confirmed. Eventually, your waiters apologised & told us that the chef is busy playing phone in the kitchen. Walking out of the restaurant without my dinner after 45 mins of sitting in your restaurant, I must say I am deeply disappointed by your service. Manager of Uncle Don, you should really do something about this otherwise you gonna see more and more...

Was having a good time celebrating friend's bday tonight. Ordered 6 pints, some pasta, chicken chop, chicken breast (delayed) and then ordered another round of beer, chicken wings and pizza later after that. After having some good chat with the friends we decided to make a move in few minutes time. Waiters were nice and attentive.

All of a sudden the "manager" decided to interrupt us and said "Its been 2 hours yall sit here, COME ORDER MORE DRINK, HEY signalling waiter GET THE MENU HERE FOR THEM. TONIGHT BUSINESS NOT GOOD LA, YALL ORDER MORE, DON'T JUST SIT HERE WITHOUT ORDERING" . Which school of hospitality did this guy came from?

Came here during MCO period. Menu was limited to spaghetti and fish and chips and some other snacks. I ordered spaghetti bolognese with bacon but 5 minutes later was told they only have pork, vegetarian and seafood. So I changed to pork instead. Another 5 minutes later, the waitress came to our table and told us they are out of bolognese, they only have carbonara, oglio aglio and devil's curry. So I decided with carbonara with pork instead. Food finally arrived, to my dismay, they substitute pork with chicken instead. No apology was made and the waiter even has the guts to say chicken/pork/bacon are all similar pricing.
