Wasabi TC Sdn Bhd — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Went on Saturday night, when we arrived around 6pm , there's a.crowd waiting outside, so went in and put our name in the waiting list(there are 4 ppl in front of us at that time). After 1 hr received a call said table is available.

Since it's has a high rate on Google and we believed the food quality must be high, the photo on the menu looks good too, so we ordered a few things to try. But turn out the actual food quality is not as good and also some looked quite different from what shown on the menu! And, the serving order of food is quite random too. I thought shasimi always served first, turned out served last unexpectedly!

Ordered salmon skin, sashimi set, unagi don, garlic rice, tempura combo, assorted skewers, green tea.

Salmon skin look good on menu without sauce, but actual has some sweet sauce on top which ruined the whole things. Would be good to let customer choose no sauce.

Tempura combo looks really good on the menu, with very light layer of batter , actual is thick batter can't even tell what's inside, if I know it's in such a thick batter, would not ordered ! This is most disappointed dish!!

assorted skewers looks like toy to me. unagi don is normal, sause too sweet,as it's not from fresh eel ,so no high expectations. garlic rice normal, taste nice.

Sashimi is OK, the fish is a bit warmer than other sushi shop, also the size is just too big , so you need to fold the fish to eat it, taste OK with wasabi.

There is a lot of room for improvement for food.

Other than that, The service is good and environment is.clean bright and comfortable.

Had to point out a lot of unhygienic details here. Went for dinner where we were seated on the top floor, our table was right in front of the stairs, also facing the toilet at the back which is also where the dirty dish trolley was placed, this seat also allowed us to see the dumbwaiter aka “food lift” to see how both freshly cooked food and dirty dishes are being placed in the same enclosed lift being sent up which makes it super unappetising.

Then when I go to get the supposedly clean plate prepped on the table is not even clean! It still had food stuck to it. The waiter that brought our food had long nails and just clean up a table and held plenty of dirty dishes brought our food to us with his nails almost touching our food.

The presentation of the food is not good as well, ordered a california temaki there were stains on the stand rice fallen out of the temaki and onto the stand, then there was the Yakiniku Don sauce was all over the bowl.

The smell on the top floor of the shop is terrible filled with washing detergent + the smell of fish which was unpleasant and unappetising.

Do not recommend anyone to go here. I expected better given that it is the same owner as Konnichiwa and I enjoyed it there and every time I go they have never failed. Unless this shop improves on those details, I am definitely not going...

I've been here for several of times. Of course one of the reason is because of totoro. I'm actually a fans of ghibli and totoro. Like the environment the most! The environment are cosy and it's fulled of fairy tales atmosphere.

But the food surprised me, the variety and the choices of their menu are kinda different compare with a normal Japanese restaurant. My favorite menu is "Soba Trilogy", unagi and the mixed fruit tea. The kids like the udon and salmon the most. The unagi and salmon are really freshly served. In terms of the taste,it is better for you to taste its deliciousness yourself. :) Thank you for one of the staff - Jessie (sorry if I spelled wrong your name) being very friendly and patient explained and share with me about the served dishes. I learned something new from her. :) Again, thanks you so much for your professional services. I will always come back!

Believe it or not, their menu are really special. I can't say all but I pretty sure some of the dishes in their menu you can't find in other Japanese restaurant. Also, you have totoro dine in together with you! Why not give it a try?

Especially the services really good. Friendly and patient. 工作人员真的很用心的在服务。
