I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yip Kee, a new ba ku teh restaurant that has quickly made a name for itself. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's decor is simple yet elegant, creating a comfortable and relaxing dining experience.
The highlight of the meal, of course, was the ba ku teh. I opted for both the soup and dry versions, and both were absolutely delicious. The soup was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of herbs and spices. The pork ribs were incredibly tender and fell off the bone effortlessly. The dry version was equally satisfying, with a slightly spicy kick that was not overpowering.
The accompanying sides, including the romaine vege and extra fu chuk, were a great complement to the main dish. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, while the fu chuk added a delightful texture and depth of flavor.
The service at Yip Kee was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Even when the restaurant was busy, they handled the crowd with ease and efficiency. The restaurant manager was also on hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Overall, I was extremely impressed with my experience at Yip Kee. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. The ba ku teh was definitely worth the RM79 price tag for two people. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a hearty and...

Read moreWe dined in during the first week of opening- it was busy and there was a queue of people waiting. Do expect at least a 30 min wait before you can get a table. Parking is also difficult. Food - the dried bkt was the star of the evening. Flavourful and meat was tender. The BKT is Klang style, for me just average. Expected a bit more vege as we order large portion. Oily rice was served as default, average taste. Food took some time to arrive as well, probably due to the crowd Atmosphere - yes, there is an a/c section. some tables only seat 4 people, if you plan to dine in with a large family, best to book ahead. Service - they were doing their best but can see that they are really struggling to...
