YMY Mookata Thai BBQ Buffet — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

went on a tuesday night around 10pm ( wednesday public holiday ) and they charged us as “public holiday eve” so considered as public holiday??? WAHHH first time hear such thing as public holiday eve lol. summore you didn’t even tell me before i had my meal there? felt like a total scam.

pork belly has a lot of fats, the side dishes weren’t fresh, kimchi wah i don’t dare to eat later i gonna spent public holiday in toilet lol..

i sat outside with my friends and there is a lot of rats running around.. drinks were on a high price

i ordered lemongrass but the flavor was minimal, price were on a high side

besides, nearly didn’t get to have tomyam sup cause unavailable at 10 then we hesitated to leave, after they double checked there’s still a lot sooo our unhappy meal started. the tomyam soup was too salty at first, more on a sour taste, not spicy. they provide creamy tomyam soup oh ya there’s additional charges per pax for tomyam soup PER PAX 🫡

I think it would be my first and last time there. The price of buffet doesn’t inclusive of drinks. So be prepared another RM10+ for drinks ya. Ordered Apple Juice, sadly half way drinking found an insect inside. But insist is Apple seed but we told him we saw insect foot and he did change for us. Pls do not add on for seafood. It is not worth to add on RM10 for it. The prawn and scallop are frozen, u need to wait for it to defrost or wash with water. All the seafood such as lala / clam or bamboo shoot are not fresh at all. All in all, not worth for it & not really enjoyed the food there. No wonder it was quite Quiet for Sunday night. There are others Mookata more worth for it in Kepong! Skip this one pls. For sure u won’t regret!

Absolutely ridiculous! I checked on Google said they were open until 2 AM, but they had already closed by 1 AM. I arrived at 11:45 PM on a Friday night and ate until just before 1 AM, yet they charged me the Saturday price. There was never any RM19.90 price offered. Sigh.

I overheard the table next to us — they only got the RM19.90 price after agreeing to write two Google reviews. So basically, unless you review them on the spot, you’re paying full price.

I went in with a good mood hoping for a decent supper, but the food was beyond disappointing. The tom yum broth was so bland — I could make a better one at home with Maggi noodles. The pandan water tasted no different from plain water. Honestly, the only thing with actual flavor was the dipping sauce.
