Food taste is so so, herbal taste is relatively bland, portion is small, choice of veggies is limited, and the price is relatively high. Of course KL has so many better bak out teh restaurants, knowing that it is not fair to compare it with those in KL, so I didn't put high expectation on this restaurant since at the beginning, but still it was disappointing enough. This restaurant is just being sooo muchh overrated! If you are purposely to come and try out this restaurant after reading some Google reviews here, I would tell a big NO, not worth at all! I would rather recommend to visit other local restaurants (just randomly tried out, mostly fulfilled by locals), that I have tried out few and are way better than this restaurant. After my visit there, I highly suspected those who gave high compliments to this restaurant were tourists, some more were foreign tourists. They just simply don't know how a good bak kut teh meal should be look like. Atmosphere is ok, toilet is clean and interesting(yes, it is), but they don't separate male and...
Read moreMy wife ask a question about if we can only buy tea. As your businessmodel don't sell tea only and it is eat-in with diner. Is fine but you can tell us in many nicer different ways. that they don't work this way in this country..it is not a crime to be tourist & not knowing all the normal way of working of restaurant. After he scolded us. He even just turn his back with the phone on his ear and walks away without say goodbye, left us in front of the restaurant with ppl around. Shaming us! Thanks for the great attitude. this restaurant owner/manager is very very rude to us (impolite is understatement of the year). Don't go to this restaurant and stay away from them. They don't deserve you! Fine a better restaurant in the near, there are a lot!
PS: I had a GREAT diner and GREAT service at another Chinese restaurant near there same night. I don't want name that restaurant here, this restaurant doesn't deserve to be on the same page as that restaurant. Will write another review over...
Read moreI know I know… going to Langkawi having bak kut teh is very uncommon. But do hear me out - when in Rome, do what the Romans do! Decided to try how a local bak kut teh tastes like… soup is lighter, less meaty taste compared to Klang, and the generous meat portion. The only thing that’s unusual is the choice of vegetables in the soup - choy sum. A VISIT HERE IS NEVER COMPLETE WITHOUT A VISIT TO THEIR BATHROOM. TRUST ME, THIS SHOULD BE A LANGKAWI TOURIST ATTRACTION. YOU’VE GOT TO SEE IT...
