Booked our ticket online from their website and selected to go at noon. However, they have changed their operating hours from 10 a.m. to 2pm and we only know when we reach the place. They forgot to put a pop-up message on the front page informing prospective visitors.
So when we arrived at our chosen timeslot, no one was at the counter for us to enquire. We sent an email to their support team checking on the situation. They replied and also called me personally to apologise for the matter. Since it was their first day of new operating hours and the website was not properly updated, we were given a complimentary upgrade to another slot, which we really appreciated. But the day we were there, it was cloudy, and not much view of the sunset was available.
When we arrived, they acknowledged our booking and brought us to the Sky Lounge. It was spacious, and you can enjoy a view from the inside while having the complimentary snacks, or you can walk on the platform outside. There is no 360-degree view from a place, but you can walk around the tower outside the Sky Lounge.
After spending time at the Sky Lounge, they will bring you to the Sky Deck, and you spend between 10 to 20 minutes depending on the slot you choose. There you can walk on the glass platform and look at the surrounding area from the viewing deck. During clear sky you can see up to the Cable Car in Gunung Machinchang.
If you plan to come, do book at their website, or you can also walk in but subject to availability as the Sky Lounge and Sky Deck can accommodate a limited number of visitors...
Read moreThe sunset view was magnificient. Friendly staff. However if the front desk staff was more professional, alert and present I would have given a full star. The staff at the front main entrance should always present themselves to be seen by guests. I actually had to walk around the floor to look for a staff to check on my booking ticket to enter. After walking pass and came back then I came across the staff was sitting down below the counter chatting on the phone as I can clearly see from behind. When approched, the staff still didnt realize i was standing there calling the staff to attend. On second call with louder voice then the staff stopped focusing on the phone and attended to my needs. A simple gesture to welcome or unwelcome visitors could change ones entire experience and impression.
The light snacks were good enough. However I wouldnt linger on the sky deck for too long especially during sunset because of the sky decks design. The glass panels and frames somehow would block the view. Plus whoever is scared of heights may not favour to stand close to the window panel as on the floor were fixed with see through glass. Id rather stay there for few moments and come down to sky lounge again and take pictures from the outdoor 'balcony' so to speak while enjoying more...

Sky Deck Experience: The sky deck is undoubtedly the highlight. Standing on the glass floor and looking down is an adrenaline-pumping experience, perfect for thrill-seekers. The height might be intimidating, but it’s a fantastic spot to get breathtaking photos with Langkawi’s beaches, greenery, and cityscape in the background.
Facilities and Accessibility: Maha Tower is well-maintained with clean, modern facilities, and it’s accessible for people of all ages. There’s an elevator to take you to the top, and it’s easy to navigate even for families with children or elderly visitors.
Crowd and Timing: Going early in the morning or late afternoon is ideal, as it can get a bit crowded during peak hours. The sunset view from the top is particularly beautiful if you time it right.
Value for Money: Tickets are reasonably priced considering the experience, views, and facilities. There’s a small café where you can grab a coffee or snack while soaking in the views, which is...
