The best vegan resturant in Langkawi! If you ever visit Langkawi you should definitely add this to your list whether you are vegan or not.

The sushi here is so amazing and it's the best i've ever had in my life!

Staff here is super friendly, We arrived here at 8:30PM and it was their last call, but still they greeted us politely. They also gave us charging wires as we cellphones were low on battery.

This is what we tried togarashi uramaki sushi : 3.5/5 This was average sushi sesame uramaki sushi : 5/5 Bang on sushi, has both white and black sesame. spicy rice curry : 5/5 Another bang on main course. Their curry is so flavourful. tempeh rice bowl : 4.5/5 This was good with lot of raw veggies. Loved it as it feels healthy when you eat. macha latte : 4.5/5 Good macha as you would expect from the place. No complaints.

The best part is you could order half and half sushi , so you could try varieties.

We wanted to visit here again but unfortunately, we had our stay near Cenang beach. But if you are in Kuah, this is a must.

nian Cafe is an oasis for any vegan food lover in Langkawi island. The restaurant serves delicious vegan japanese dishes. I really loved "Shuyuki" dish as I got opportunity to taste shiitake mushrooms for the very first time. The dish was served in an iron pot heated with burner at its bottom. I also had a good fortune to try out vegan sushi with wasabi sauce, a new experience in my life. The head chef lady was very polite and helpful. She accommodated all our requests to modify our dishes. The decor of the place was in line with Japanese culture making use of wooden elements and minimalistic design. I was very sad to see low number of patrons at the restaurant as the locals do not appreciate vegan or japanese cuisine. I hope tourists like me will continue to support small businesses like nian cafe which dare to promote veganism against all odds in an isolated part of the world where it is much needed. I initially came here because of the good reviews and came back everyday of my stay. The food is tasty and I like the portions and concept. The space is very clean and gives a friendly and cozy atmosphere. But all of this also other places can have - the reason I came back so often was because of the employees. There were two waiters and one person in the kitchen and all of them were extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and gave me such a welcoming feeling that is really appreciated. Always a smile on the face and very careful to bring good customer service - which they also exceeded, and not only because of receiving free greetings from the kitchen everytime I visited (dessert, sushi etc).
