Pleasant little restaurant with minimal sittings. We came at a non peak hour but the restaurant still had quite a few tables. You may opt to choose your own live seafood to be cooked or order from the menu. Our menu spread was garluc prawn, thai style chicken, stir fry veggie and lala (clam).
The thai style chicken was rather different than the ones I have had before but this is also tasty. The stir fry lala clams were also quite nice. Something light to balance the strong flavor of the thai style chicken.
On our order, we aldo had the garlic prawn. It came with a blanket of crramy sauce doused with chopped garlic 🧄. Very flavourful after a long day of traveling. Lastly on our menu is a stir fry of mixed veggie to balance off our protein meal.
Before we end our lunch, we were served with a small plate of mixed fruit with rojak sauce. Coming from Penang, I would have to say, this rojak was legit!
Thank you for a...
Read moreTheir lala is amazing, thick, juicy, we came back for more. The spicy style is essentially the same as the ginger with a bit of chilli - very mild spiciness. Worth every penny - portions are generous but trust me, you'd want to size up
Seaweed soup and tofu was a little bland and undersalted for our liking. Kinda gives you a but of the homey feel actually.
Super large prawn was good too.
Mantis prawn was delicious.
We also tried the middle sized tiger prawns in kamheong style. It was quite tasty but the price was a bit steep for the prawn.
Steam promphet was alright. Ours was a bit overcooked.
I would say the main highlight would be the lala. They're wellknown for their ABC style fish too, but we had fried fish at the reataurant before so we didnt order that. Perhaps on...
Read moreVery decently priced place with excellent food. Owner was kind enough to fry up a simple fried rice for us as we were opting not to go for normal plain rice.
Fried oyster is crispy on the outside while retaining the signature fluffiness and goeeyness.
Kong bou squid is fragrant and packed full of flavor. Pairs very well with rice.
Ginger Onion clams was excellent as the taste is paired very well with the lemongrass and basil leaves which are not common in this dish. An excellent take to the everyday dish you find can find elsewhere. Clams were juicy and fresh as well.
Will recommend this place to anyone visiting the area for...
