We stumbled upon RT Restaurant in Langkawi by chance on Google, and it turned out to be one of the best discoveries of our trip! The food was absolutely outstanding—authentic, home-cooked style with no lingering taste of MSG. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly prepared with fresh, quality ingredients.

We loved it so much we ended up going twice, and honestly, we would have gone back again and again had we found it earlier. Our favourite dishes were the sweet and sour fish, kung pao chicken, golden egg yolk prawns, golden egg squid, and stir-fried garlic mustard leaves. The seafood was a real standout—the fish, squid, and prawns were incredibly fresh, like they had just been brought in straight from the sea. The fish in particular was beautifully cooked, and we could taste the natural sweetness of the flesh itself.

Even our fussy children, who are usually hard to please, ate quickly and happily. They genuinely enjoyed every bite and left the table completely full and content—a clear sign of how wholesome and satisfying the meal was.

The service was equally impressive. Although we arrived around 30 minutes before closing time each visit, the staff greeted us warmly and served our food promptly. They were kind, attentive, and truly accommodating.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with impeccable service and a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for an amazing meal. Came here for dinner after reading recent reviews. Very clean interior and friendly staff. The windows were spotlessly clean, which I noticed straight away after having recently walked past Starbucks at the jetty and seeing how filthy their windows were.

Okay dishes were homemade tofu and spring rolls (strong cinnamon flavour, which didn't work for me) and prawns in cream butter sauce, which were big and tasted fresh but were a bit overcooked.

Both rice dishes were tasty and had a good amount of seafood. Mango salad was very fresh and had great flavour. Kangkung was delicious, as the chef had used roasted whole garlic cloves which gave great depth of flavour without the pungency of fresh garlic. Delicious homemade dipping sauce with the spring rolls.

We were the only patrons, which was a shame. I would definitely return and try...
