Amazing place , so much to share. Stumbled this place by accident and fell in love.

Food 10/10 Quality 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambience 10/10

We ordered a whole fish cooked in two types of preparation , baked and sambal , both were crazy good and amazing. Fish was super fresh and not fishy at all.

Squid cooked with salted egg yolk was superb !!! The squid was super full and juicy , batter ratio was well balanced , it’s not like those other cheap shops with more batter than squid , this is more squid than batter which is AMAZING . Period . Sauce was amazing as well.

Must try their brinjal/egg plant style preparation. First time trying this sort of cooking style and it was AMAZING . Well seasoned , soft and delicious !

kangkung was also very fresh.

Lala was amazing as well , cooked in ginger garlic preparation , super fresh and delicious !!!

Overall , the experience was amazing . The food served is of high quality , words cannot describe how amazing it is ! It’s one of the best seafood places I’d recommend. Portion is huge as well for the price ! And it is worth every penny for the price because the food is amazingly delicious .

Service was top notch , food was served within 10-15 mins after ordering , best part was there’s only 4 people handling the kitchen yet they can deliver and serve the food so quickly and cooked so well with the utmost quality and precision . Nothing was over cooked , all was cooked to perfection . Spoken to Vera herself , amazing lady and chef !!! A huge compliment to her and her team , will definitely be a regular here and will come again !...

Malacca is a World Heritage city. And also a food haven! If you’re looking for great fusion Portuguese Asian food, Vera is one of the best. It is right along the Temasek Hotel and across from the Portuguese settlement. The restaurant is modest with simple arrays of tables & chairs in a semi open space. The kitchen is open & the chef is nearby. The ambience is casual & relax. However, the simplicity in appearance belies the absolute tasteful food Vera caters. The seafood is very fresh. The service is friendly and very efficient. While all the dishes are divine in taste, do try the black pepper crab, sotong (squid) sambal and the baked fish. The butter garlic prawns & salted eggs with prawns or sotong (squid) is a must. For vegetables, you can’t go wrong with any, in particular, the mixed veges, tauge goreng (stir fried bean sprouts) & kangkong belacan. Thank you Vera for the delicious & friendly service, and the care you put in catering fresh seafood for our...

This is one of the popular authentic seafood stalls operated by an experienced Portuguese Aunty Chef and her team. The place is located at the front veranda stretch of Temasek Hotel near Portuguese Square. The stalls have open kitchen and outdoor seatings. It's casual alfresco dining at its best, especially during rainy days. We came here for an early Christmas celebration. We ordered the signature Portuguese grilled fish, otak otak, spicy fried yellow noodles, deep-fried chicken and squid, black pepper aubergine, stir-fried kailan green etc. Our grand-niece ordered a spicy pork burger with French fries. The service is courteous and efficient. Prices are reasonable and competitive for a feast of seafood. Parking is a challenge as the hotel is right in the middle of a crowded...

Decided to try this place as reviews seem pretty good Firstly, nobody seemed to want to serve us. The 3 servers just sat there staring at us, seemingly nudging each other that there was a customer. Portuguese stingray (RM40): sauce had a kick to it, however stingray wasn’t very fresh. Salted egg sotong (RM35): had more flour than sotong. To top it off, sotong was over cooked hence it became very hard Grilled pepper brinjal (RM15): decided to try this as it was recommended. Warning, do not try. It came black, and there was no seasoning. Overpriced, overcooked. All in all would not be returning here.
