Hotel Sentral Riverview Melaka — Hotel in Malacca

I have no choice to "pen" down on my experience at this hotel. My first stay at this hotel was great. No qualms bout the good smell of the room or the good process of check in/out. My second stay after few weeks; room was a little dark with less lighting, smell on pillows and bedsheets & no heater from the shower. Room looked eerie🤢Wanna give another try staying here, so I booked a room for 2 again;15/08/2024. I arrived at the hotel around 11am plus. Check in time is 2pm. Very well understood with the terms. So,I walked at the counter at 1.45pm. Receptionist said,"bilik belum sedia lagi.Belum bersih. Check in pukul 2 saje". I asked,"Antara pukul 12pm-2pm,bilik tak bersih lagi ke? Saya booking bilik awal pagi tadi, hotel tak tau ke customer nak check in?" Receptionist,"tak...tak bersih lagi"😮😁😆😅😱🤨🧐😤 ok..I walked again to wait at the very hot non air-conditioned lobby🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ After 2 mins, I walked at the counter to carry on with the check in processing but still Receptionist/she never gave me the room card🤣 Well, heading towards the very hot lobby to have a seat again🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 I decided to walk again around 1.58pm. 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Still to my surprise!!! She said," Bilik belum ready. Check in pukul 2pm🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 Oh my God!!! I said,"Lebih baik tukar masa Check in:2pm kepada Check in: Hanya selepas bilik dibersihkan" 🤣😅 Finally she gave me the card at 1.59pm😅🤦🏼‍♀️You are chasing away the customers if you do not even have little kindness in you. Receptionist turned into sulky one juz cause I wanna go into my room at 2pm. Wats playing in my head now," BILIK TAK BERSIH LAGI"! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Even dah hampir pukul 2pm, bilik tak BERSIH LAGI?!!! The room is dirty, both bed sheet have stain, i called receptionist and inform, unfortunately we have to wait for housekeeping for almost 20 minutes! we are very upset because we travelled from KL, and wanted some rest before went out to explore melaka.. And then, I've tried to called reception again, no one pickup, lucky that the housekeeping staff come to give us towels, we informed her to have our bed sheet change, and ask her if reception staff informed about our complaint, unfortunately the lady said, reception staf DIDNT INFROM ANYTHING???? compliment to the hkp staff for changing the bed sheet really quick and tidy.. The plug in the room is broken and almost fell off.. i think it was dangerous, management really need to inspect their room and maintained this facilities.. The breakfast spread is decent and quite good. Overall i wouldn't recommend to anyone, because the hotel is poorly maintained, not to mention lobby have no aircond, they didnt provide floor mat infront of the toilet.. And their wardrobe in the room have a very unpleasant smell, we didn't even use it to hang our clothes..I am a hotelier my self, and have been to many 3 star hotel in melaka which facilities and hygiene way better than...

a solid 3-star hotel. but still, very comfortable. great parking space & comfortable room. the breakfast has a decent amount of selections and everything is delicious. the parking is at the back of the hotel, quite dark so can be dangerous for you to go alone. there's no pool there. for their elevator, it was equipped with touchless buttons so you won't have to press on it to get to your floor. a great addition to avoid spreading infections. but the elevator was quite small. for you to iron your clothes, they prepared an iron area in the hallway of your floor so you can iron your clothes. not sure if they provide sending an iron to your room or not. the tv has limited channels and quite low quality. one of the sockets in the room was not working, i suggest the staffs to check that. and the ac can be noisy to some people but it's okay for me. not too far from the city but not as near where you'll be hearing all the city noise. just the right location, near to the river (around 3 min drive). all-in-all, a so so...
