Our newphew from KL fetched his daughter, my wife and l here for lunch. We all ordered from an established stall here, the traditional old-school Melaka-style char siew wan tan noodles. The dry noodles cooked al dente were tossed in a sauce mix with a dollop of the famed Melakan unsweeten chilli sauce. Both the char siew and wan tan dumpling tasted decent. Flavoured well and good. But the wantan, my gosh. Its like you just put minced meat into the wantan skin without seasoning it. I can't even taste pepper much less salt? Ordering drinks is somewhat a humour. You order and you can see the waitress trying to look for the owner of the drinks....
