Choose soup, meat n rice/mixian. Got seat immediately on weekend around 3pm+ (the place was only 1/3 full).
Chinese lady explained how to order. Other floor staffs r foreigners, understand basic Malay/English like tissue, order. I ordered green mala but looked like red mala 😅 rushing for time, so I didn't ask staff.. Plus, sometimes staff disappeared from view, maybe busy with indoor orders but when there were potential customers, the staff would rush to concierge to serve customer. Staff was kind to give lots of tissue - mala is very spicy in some portion of the soup, not enough herbs 🥵😥
Food portion is big but the price is almost RM25+ The buckheat tea is in big cup too (nice)! Not much shredded chicken in my order, 3 big balls - maybe someone mixed up the order.
Indoor n outdoor. Outdoor is nice, can feel the wind. Saw someone sat in bak kut teh next door n ordered...

I was recommended to try the Salmon Fish Head Rice Noodles (三文魚頭米線 myr27.30). Soup is very tasty with added preserved vegetables & cabbages, plus a tinch of rice wine (unsure if any MSG); rice noodles are soft & chewy. Somehow, salmon fishhead is deepfried, perhaps due to its freshness by removing the fishiness! Anyway, I enjoyed it especially in a cooling weather with a bowl of pipping hot 🍜
Location is good, as it's nearby the cable car station. Resto is tidy, clean & spacious, just that outdoor table is next to an Arabic restaurant that provides shisha (water hookah), which maybe unpleasant to non-smoker...
Read moreTaste: 3/5 Portion: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Price: 3/5 Ratings are given relative to the location. Don't expect kopitiam prices at Genting Premium Outlet. Food came out nice and hot. Had the mixed balls noodle in the superior soup. Clear simple taste. Noodles were springy, almost to the texture of glass noodles. The braised pork rice was generous with it's portion of meat and comes with a complimentary herbal egg. Compared to another eatery in Skyworld, this fares much better in price to portion & taste ratio. Downside is the waitstaff really needs training. Wrong order put in (luckily it was just a drink mistake). They seem confused when asked to clarify. Spent RM50+ for a bowl of noodles and a bowl of...
