Coffee Venture — Restaurant in Penang

Overall, this is a nice café in Butterworth, Penang, and I truly appreciate that they offer a solid western-style brunch menu – it’s not easy to find places here that serve dishes like Eggs Benedict or Scrambled eggs with avocado. The coffee is also very enjoyable, and the range of drinks is quite good.

The atmosphere is pleasant, though it might feel even more welcoming with slightly brighter lighting. I also noticed that the sourdough bread was a bit on the salty side, and the Eggs Benedict didn’t quite match the presentation shown in the menu – the texture could be smoother and more balanced.

I hope this feedback can be helpful, as I genuinely want to see this café do well. With a few small improvements, it has the potential to become one of the best spots for a proper Western brunch and great coffee in Butterworth. I will still happily recommend it to anyone looking for that kind...

Had a lunch here and was surprised how nice the interior looked. Waited for about 10 minutes for a menu, and none were given. So had to go to the counter and browsed there and then. Ordered a Signature grilled chicken and a Chocolate Green Chip Frappe (the name of the frappe is so wrong but I'll get back to it in awhile).

The grilled chicken were barely bearable, nothing too extraordinary or bad about it.

However, the Chocolate Green Chip Frappe which actually is a Chocolate Chip Green Frappe was one of the best I've ever had. Especially when I kinda order green tea frappe wherever I go, you kinda can rely on my review on green tea frappe. ;)

If any of the staffs are reading this, please change the name of the green tea frappe pls!...

When I popped into Coffee Venture, I was grateful for their early opening hour of 8:00am and admittedly on the hunt for a decent coffee. Was feeling peckish and clueless on what to get, so I asked the cashier - ‘something with eggs, please’. Lucky me that she was brilliantly helpful and knowledgeable of the menu - recommended an avocado toast. The flat white in a large cup came to me first served by this lovely server who walked gently and carefully to me without spilling a drop. An admirable feat as impatient me would have had spilled half a cup! The brew was perfection - aromatically delish and at a temperature proper for a good brew. Kudos, barista. Will just have to revisit this cafe now - brilliant staff, delish food,...
