HARD LEE TOMYAM — Restaurant in Perak

For a place that shouts western on its front door, it has only grilled chicken/lamb/steak on the menu. Misleading to that point, otherwise the Thailand cuisine is a wonderful spread, the portion is generous. I ordered the Malaysian famous nasi goreng USA and I was served with two plates, one with fried rice and the other albeit a smaller plate but filled to the brim was the beef. That's just wonderful, the beef dish was shared by three others joining me and that one dish costs lesser than seven ringgit. Clear soup and sambal belacan comes with every order of rice, which is a nice gesture. The place itself reminds me of Pattani, colourful and bright, the servers although busy, but they do not crowd you while the place is big with a lot of breathing space - meant for a bigger crowd on weekends so I think if you're heading there, choose non peak hours, thank me later for this. Taste wise, I think it's just ok, we finished everything - come on, this tells you...

I heard some bad and good reviews on this place. So i tried after few places i went closed.

I had Nasi Goreng Daging Merah and my partner had Tomyum.

1- My food prices are reasonable. But overall on the menu some are quite pricey and some are reasonable.

2- Bland nasi goreng. Surprisingly daging merah was bland as well. Even worse, the sup kosong given was so salty that i had to pour it on top of the rice to enhance whatever taste it has.

3- Tomyum, it has a nice smell of serai. But, it doesnt taste any tomyum which makes it bland and very salty as well. Small portion of filling in the tomyum.

For people who loves bland and salty ocean water level, i would recommend this place.

For me who eats normal tasteful food, once in a lifetime.

Everything was gud👍🏻 Definitely not to be missed out when you are in Tambun area, restaurant easily spotted along the main road with it's bright colourful lightings right opposite of Tambun Sunway city

Food was really tasty, huge portion, fresh seafood & price is definitely way reasonable👍🏻

This visit had their Lime Chili Siakap, Telur bistik, tom yum, kerabu mangga, all dishes were excellent👌 and total cost was just RM59 only👍🏻 really worth it

Free filtered water in the house, lots of parking & seatings available as well
