Waitress is very rude though the food is okay. My friend accidentally burnt the menu due to their own candle on table & honestly owned up to the waitress. But, in return, the waitress said my friend did not know to apologise (who the heck got time to apologise when you quickly reprimand my friend that just inform you the incident, you didn’t even check whether she burnt her hand or no). Lastly, we got a RM20 fee in the receipt without our knowledge until we questioned her. We had a truly bad time here & will not return. i also strongly suggest those want a good & nice dining experience not to try your Luck here.
To reply back the restaurant response: We didn’t Burn your whole book for Goodness sake, it is an accident & we are not committing crimes here & it is not our responsibility to be scolded in a restaurant that we paid for RM259 for food and RM20 for a merely burnt cover which is not our intention to do it. You told us to pay but did we agree? You simply charge the RM20 into our bill without mentioning & I only realised after checking the bill & we still paid It though I don’t think it is the way to settle it, If we know we need to pay at this damage at RM20, I will not dine in. Your service is terrible & please learn to be polite to your customers, you are in service line, you are not anyone to punish or summon your customer based on your judgement &...
Read moreI showed up without a reservation and they were able to accommodate me but warned me that it might be a longer wait because I didn't have a reservation.
Glad I agreed to wait for the food, because it was worth it! I didn't love all the appetizers but there were more hits than misses - particularly the pickled cherry tomato and the foie gras were really good!
The texture of their home made pasta was also an eye opener for me as I've never had fresh pasta with so much nice bite to it. The uni sauce that came with my pasta was great too, and I'm glad I took the server's kind advice not to finish my bread, so I could use some of it to finish every drop of sauce.
If I had to criticize, I'd say I would have wanted a bit more pasta in the main dish. And the presentation could be improved. But this place still gets a 5 star review from me because Ieft this place feeling very happy! Good meal, good service, good value.
Edit: 3 visits across a year later and I'm still so pleased with this place. They switch up their menu a little sometimes and the food is always good. Best to make...
Read moreMade a reservation on their Facebook page. A chef + server team, who's most likely a husband and wife couple, prepared and served the food.
The exterior looks normal but the interior feels homely and a simple set of table placements make you feel you entered into a fine dining restaurant, and that's what the owners make you feel.
The server is very attentive to my requests - I requested a "Birthday Special" to celebrate a friend's birthday, and they did not disappoint.
Dinner was a 3-course meal, picked from a specific set of menus. The pork loin was with plum and red wine sauce, and the portion was just right, with the meat cooked nicely. The scallop mentaiko pasta was done to perfection, with the tastes complimenting one another. Dessert was on point - a birthday special!
I fully appreciated the good food and the attentiveness of the chef and server team, and will greatly recommend to anyone and everyone this hidden...
