V Nam Kitchen — Restaurant in Perak

This place used to be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Ipoh, but now it's completely different.

Price – The food price is increased, and the menu does not show the price, you will need to refer to another menu to see the price.

Food preparation time - We ordered two Vietnamese appetizers, the waiter explained that the preparation time is long, and the food will be served after our main course meals are finished.

Service – We ordered the Vietnamese lemongrass tea, the waiter said the tea was not ready, it would take 15 minutes, we waited more than 15 minutes, and then another waiter said we would have to wait longer, since we have waited for so long and the food had not arrived, we asked if we could have some warm water for us, and we waited again until our main course – noodles is served, and then the warm water is taken out, but the water is not warm, but boiled. So, we asked for some ice cubes. At the end of the checkout, I only realized that the warm water and ice cubes have to be charged?!?! But the waiter never explained that there would be an additional charge for the warm water and ice cubes! I think this is very ridiculous as it’s your restaurant/kitchen preparation time slow and underprepared, and you expect the customer to pay on it?????

Overall, this restaurant has completely changed compared to the previous time, I will not be returning to this restaurant nor recommending...

Sigh, where to begin. I don't care too much about the environment and lighting, food quality is my major rating consideration. Ordered the 3 mix combo rice of lemon grass chicken, pork patty & egg.

Lets start with the rice. As expected, rice was at room temperature (cold) but quite chewy; the lemon grass chicken came with a hint of aromatic smell but taste wise is quite tasteless so this is where the sauce comes in. Problem is, the sauce mixture is ALSO so so bland and watered down that it doesn't add much taste. So it pretty much spoiled my entire meal.

Then came the pineapple juice which surpisingly, was not sour at all and ALSO was severely watered down. Sad to say, the food quality had gone down considerably compared to...

Fd is not authentic Vietnamese.Price tag a bit slightly high.Staff co ordination very poor.Service is poor.Unable to see who came first and last making the ordering is even worst with the attitude saying if you are rushing for an aeroplane we are unable to promise you fast food.Talk about 1st impression to really want to try out i was stump folded whether what service is this.Food is just alright.Nothing really special.The photos taken is really nice but when tasting is not on par like Vietnamese food and not so tasty.Patrons are a lot during dinner time.I hope they have someone to standby at the front door to do a service check...
