I hosted my baby’s first birthday buffet at this café and it was, unfortunately, a very disappointing and frustrating experience. What should have been a special, joyful event turned into a stressful one due to poor food quality, unprofessional service, and disorganized event management.
The food tasted extremely bad — overcooked, unbalanced, and barely edible. Many guests couldn’t enjoy the meal, and I felt embarrassed hosting them. I also reached out to the owner personally afterward to resolve things privately, but instead of an apology or accountability, I was told I simply had “too high expectations.” The tone was rude and dismissive, and the entire conversation left me feeling unheard and disrespected.
On top of that, the seating arrangement was a mess. I specifically asked if a U-shape setup was possible. They said yes — but clearly, it wasn’t suitable for their café layout. My guests were cramped and uncomfortable. Instead of giving me honest guidance before the event, they went along with it and then turned around and blamed me for wanting that arrangement. That’s not professional event planning — it’s poor communication and mismanagement.
To make matters worse, I was charged RM200 for decorations that were honestly just ugly. I even said beforehand that I was okay outsourcing it myself, but they insisted on handling it — and then delivered subpar decor. When I requested a fair adjustment afterward, they only gave a RM50 discount, which felt like a token gesture rather than a genuine attempt to make things right.
Despite all of this — poor food, poor setup, poor service — they still charged me in full. No real apology, no responsibility, and no effort to repair the damage done to what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
I will never return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone planning a special event. They do not value their customers, nor do they deliver on what...
Read moreThis is a very chilling place, very enjoyable for a hot day to chill and sipping tea, having some conversation with friends. When I walk in this front place got a lot of green plants, inside their cafe is clean and there are some decorative items on the wall that makes me feel kind of vintage and nostalgic. When we just sat down, a boy start to calling us like 'gor gor, jie jie' for a few times, awww such a cute boy.💙Later he also came in front us and looking at both of us, so cute. There are more elder like to visit here so I think the boy feel excited to see us.😆They are giving two option to take order which is scan Qr or write the code in the paper, very considerate. The food choices is a bit less for me, I like the lychee black tea a lot, the staff are caring they ask for adding water to my tea when they notice my tea become less. Will come visit...
Read moreWe had the noodles with minced pork and lard, kaya and butter toast as well as toast with egg. In all fairness, food was decent. Noodles were a little lacking in flavour and could be more al dente, although that may be intentional if the establishment mainly caters to older folks. Toast was pretty good. Drinks (iced coffee and teh tarik) were also good.
What needs to be improved : We arrived at 9am (official business hours starts at 9:00am) but the gate remained locked until 9:05am, and even then we were told the chef was not in yet. Personally, I would rather the shop commit to opening at a later time if they're struggling to open punctually ; maybe open at 10am instead of 9am, but ensure that the floor and kitchen staff are fully ready to serve and not make excuses like they're too busy, when we're the only table...
