Ipoh Apartment Suites — Hotel in Perak

I liked this place but there were some events at the beginning and end of the stay that marred an otherwise pleasant stay. ||We originally booked a bungalow. As we were on our way there after several unanswered calls, we were suddenly called to tell us that from a bungalow we would be moved instead to this apartment. Understandably, my family was upset for not being informed in advance. To make matters worse, the place is difficult to find with no clear sign and we were driving around for a long time. The GPS takes you to the wrong address. You need to type in 'Soon Tien'. The apartment is opposite on a small lane with no clear sign. In fact, it doesn't even look like an apartment since it is not very high. ||Everything in the apartment was working fine. The place is reasonably clean but the master bedroom is a bit small. The place even has a dvd player and antique decorations. Our requests were very quickly attended and Ms Ong and Monica were appropriately friendly and responsive. The surrounding area is free of traffic jams. ||On our last night unfortunately, the unit upstairs were playing loud rock music at 4am in the morning . While the apartment was sufficiently soundproofed not to have the sound ear - blasting, it was still audible enough to disturb a few family members. After we complained, the staff promised us to take action. ||The one issue that bothers me is safety. The neighbourhood is very safe but there's usually no one at the reception and no security guard at the car park. ||Despite these unfortunate incidents, I was satisfied with the place and won't mind...

Just an average stay for 4 of us. The location was away from city centre but just 5-10mins drive away. We booked a 2bedrooms apartment for 1night stay but was given a 5rooms apartment (3rooms are locked) on the 1st Floor (A). The space was too big as got additional 3rooms, would prefer a smaller space as more comfortable then. We were given 1main room with attached bathroom but shower only and the 2nd room is without bathroom. To use toilet had to walk to the kitchen and toilet located outside. A bit inconvenient for us who stayed in the 1st main room though spacious. Water was leaking from the shower pipes in both attached bathroom and common bathroom outside. There's a living room to hang around, dining area with some plates and cutleries and a kitchen too.|Have to request for hair dryer bit it was very dirty and dusty. Rooms and overall space is not very clean and a bit dusty. Plenty of left behind hairs on the flooring and also bedding. We had to clear on our own before sleeping. |I will not recommend for those who want a very clean and comfortable stay but is okay for those who want a bigger space inclusive of kitchen, living room and dining area. It is very quiet, off the main old town area but close enough by car , abt less than 2 km away. Free parking and our family had the 2 units to ourselves. Check in was easy but the receptionist is part time but a phone call away. Each unit has 5 rooms but please note that each unit can sleep 9 pax and not 10 as advertised as there is one single room amongst the 5 rooms. Good furnishing and clean. 3 toilets and 2 showers. One room is ensuite. Amenities provided, towels, shampoo, bath gel. Hair dryer and coffee making facilities provided. Microwave n small fridge in the kitchen and crockery & cutlery provided. Free wifi and strength is quite good. No complaints and value for money for big groups of friends or families. ||||One feedback, must provide 2 pillows for each person or change to better quality pillows. You also need to bring your own coffee & tea to hv a cuppa at night although some would prefer the famous white coffee...
