This seems like a popular Japanese restaurant in Ipoh. On a Wednesday night, half the place was already full when we got there. Not the best place to find a carpark as there are many restaurants on the same row. Many cars were parked illegally in front of the row of shops and made the available car parks very tight to get in. As we are celebrating friend’s birthday, we could enjoy one of the birthday meal for free if we spend rm250 or more. Since we were sashimi lover, we decided to go for the 6 kinds sashimi cut. We also ordered the Hamachi grilled collar, the gyoza and the California roll. We chose the tempura prawn as our birthday treat. I must say the sashimi were very fresh and thick pieces. We really enjoyed the dish. The California roll was ok, nothing to shout about and so were the gyoza. The tempura prawn was great as it was crispy on the outside and tender inside. But the Hamachi grilled collar was kind of over cooked. We were quite disappointed as we had high hope on it. For the price we paid, we definitely not happy with it rough texture. Overall, the food was not too bad and the service is commendable. I would come back again to try...
Read moreStrategic location placing at the corner side of festival walk. Whoever drives around this area definitely am able to spot its presence.
Consist of variety Japanese food menu up to your preference. Crowd is always heavy including weekdays, as you are always welcomed with jovial, loud and cheerful friendly staffs which perhaps may be the biggest factor of attracting customer to keep coming by again. Floor manager is very attentive to new coming guests for the floor staff to always be prepared to greet them loud and proud, some babbling maseh! Not understanding what it means, but definitely a warm gesture.
Waiter is never hesitant to refill your green tea time by time without needing to request them to do so.
Was told this place well known for its ramen but didn't had the chance to do so, will come again next time.
They have their daily special offers / moments of either food or beverages, do catch by time by time for the best deal.
Overall the crowd is always there due to strategic location, competitive marketing, friendly staff, considerable food portion,...
Read moreHorrible experience in Medan Ipoh! We were persuaded to make a reservation for the Yee Sang because we were told to get free extra abalone pieces if we ordered earlier. So, we have been required to pay some deposit and we did. However, when we arrived. We were told that the abalone is finished! We were replaced with extra salmon which was already in the dishes anyway. What is the point of making reservation if they can’t get it prepared? We felt we were scammed into the restaurant. So, we didn’t order any more dishes besides than this. I have reflected this to the manager but what we got is another attempt to lure us in! We were offered replacement of the abalone pieces but was not being told whether or not we would have to pay for it which I suppose would be put in the new Yee Sang. If we do, the cycle repeats again. We have to pay to see whether the restaurant can keep their promise. We want it to be a pleasurable dining experience with our money worthwhile, but we ended up paying to make sure the staff is trustworthy. Its...
