Modern and minimal interior space that reflects the food and the business branding consistently throughout- minimalist contemporary Japanese feel with touches of artificial plastic foliage.
First impression is its a burnt cheesecake place as cheesecakes are on display as one walk in. But I’m told that everyone comes here for the ice dish- read the room and you’ll understand what I mean.
The Japanese ice kachang is beautifully presented (see photos) with its mountain of very fine shaved ice topped with its condiments- depending what you order. We opted for the top two most popular flavours - Iron Lady Milk Tea and the matcha flavored option (dusted with green matcha powder). Both were good! The side dishes that came in little bowls with each serve was an added bonus- very chewy pearl like texture in round and square forms.
Unfortunately no staff explained what they are or announced the dishes names when served- we had to figure them out ourselves.
Overall the dishes are not too overpoweringly sweet and not heavy but light- hence we ordered two bowls between four people. Very well balanced dishes. I think one bowl per person would be enough but most patrons share one bowl between two to four as it’s pricey- about $20rm per bowl.
Occasionally there’s a queue to get in, but we went at night at 8pm and chances are higher for a walk-in without a wait and parking wasn’t too bad. Only problem we faced was the ordering system- they don’t accept cash. Everything had to be ordered via their app. As new patrons nobody helped to explain to us. Staff just stood around and pointed at signs. Again, we had to figure this out ourselves as well and the platform was not easy to navigate. Ordering took longer than receiving the food 😆😆😆.
Brought my parents here to try and they loved it too :) But I wondered if older patrons came alone, how will they order without assistance? Customer service could be improved and be more personable considering the above average price and fancy decor rather than human robots manning the counter and transporting food from kitchen to table. There’s more emphasis on getting the food perfect and visual impressions than the customer experience.
I was also prompted by the establishment’s social media to add a five 🌟 review on Google reviews and I’ll get a free drink- defeats the purpose of my experience and would rather skip the free drink and share an honest feedback and hope service improves.
But this begs to question how many reviews for this place here in Google maps are sincere reviews? Overall, I would definitely come back to try the other ice dishes and also consider trying the cheesecakes...
Read moreMy second time here and this was with family, earlier visit came with friends. It could have been an excellent dessert experience but felt that it was only about 2.5 stars.
Parking is a headache and the second issue was the entrance queue on most nights. The ambience is noisy but comfortable and those shaved ice dishes i tried (matcha, iron lady, milo) were all quite tasty and came quite fast. Cold drinks like brown sugar milk were below average in my opinion. No complimentary drinking water.
Now here is the reason to deduct few stars on the review. Most cafes when you enter you get a greeting "good evening, madam" or "welcome to [cafe name], sir". Over here, the greeting we received was " maximum 1hr dine in, sir" and at this point, we havent even reached our table to sit down. The other part i disliked was the online ordering. You scan a qr code and order at your table, walk over to the cashier, pay (cashless) and they give you a buzzing ufo. Walk back to your table, wait for it to buzz and then walk back again to near the cashier counter to collect your drinks/dessert bowl to bring it back to your table. With the prices that we pay, might as well be their store employee. I felt that there were sufficient staff and it wasn't like they were super busy. Understand that this is how they do business but sorry, overall, not a great experience.
Ambience: good Queue: bad Parking: quite bad (not the cafe fault) Speed of order: fast Taste: above average taste dessert and they customise your sweetness level. Below average drinks, very overrated. Service: needs massive improvement but it was quick Payment experience: Poor Price level: slightly overpriced Will i...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming dessert shop, and I must say, it left me utterly enchanted. From the moment I arrived, I was fascinated to see a queue forming even before the doors were opened. Intrigued by the buzz, I eagerly stepped in and was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The star of the show was undeniably their Coconut Durian Kakigori. With high expectations due to the anticipation and the one-hour time limit to sit in, I can happily declare that it surpassed all my hopes. The combination of fluffy shaved ice, luscious coconut, and the tantalizing essence of durian created a heavenly symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds.
The attention to detail and the dedication to quality were truly impressive. Every spoonful of this divine creation was a delightful experience. The texture, the balance of flavors, and the artful presentation came together flawlessly.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Despite the initial queue and time limit, I felt well taken care of and never rushed. The ambiance was cozy, allowing me to savor every moment and fully indulge in the exquisite dessert.
