Went out on CNY day 3.

This shop was the only one opened in that row. Should have been a red flag but my family insisted wanted to try.

Walked in , I must say the server is one good salesman. Boss I better give this server a raise. He will upsell customer gao gao gao. I think just because of him alone each month Ur shop revenue increase by 30%. Same lo order his mee jawa and kuih tiau. Think they do this so simplify their kitchen order.

Anyway, food came. Wow, what a letdown, taste so so only. Nothing special, portions were small, price was high. Like going to eat at KL city mall but getting Penang island hawker center portion. You ownself go try see la. I don't want say too much.

So we finished up and wanted to cabut d, since the cendol still not yet come, we mah go cancel lo. Hohoho that same sales man come back wor. Told us already prepared liao, trying to push us not to cancel. He wasnt rude or anything la. So we ok lo. We ask where the cendol, he quickly grab another waiter passing by with a cendol bowl and say was for our table. The waiter protest showing the order receipt was for another table, then they both argue for while. And the waiter took back his bowl.

We then told him since not yet prepare then we want to cancel lo. 3rd day of CNY also got drama to see d.

I think this shop really can enter into the BlackList shop d. Like this do business ya, everyone got eyes see o. One time come, won't return again d o....

If u want to do like this, taste must be really special. But your taste so so only boss. Pls improve way of doing business.

3 person ( 3 mains + 1 toast) without drinks RM78. KL mall standard. Nothing abnormal.

Oh btw, atmosphere...

I left a glowing review previous visit when I was served by a north Indian guy who was polite and cheerful but unfortunately this time around I had a very unpleasant experience and disappointed with a different staff attitude this time. They gave me the wrong order. I ordered kuey teow with fried egg and clearly told the code but was given with duck egg. When I alerted them about this ,one of the staff (not the one who took order) theres another nasty fella who looks like a Vietnamese/Burmese/rohingya forced me to just eat that and said will add on an egg with extra charge. I said no, I don't like duck egg. He then glared at me and they questioned me asking 'you don't eat duck egg is it? He then was grumbling away and glaring at me repeatedly. EXCUSE ME!!!, I am a paying customer!!! if you messed up the order that's YOUR MISTAKE so change the order Instead of forcing people to eat that!! Later after I said no , they made a new one but it tasted dry and bad (not like the one I jad previous visit) so I suspect they just washed the one already cooked and refried it. This is disgusting and unacceptable attitude. Never going to...

First of all, to the top management of this restaurant, I wish say that, i really really disappointed on how Lorong Seratus Tahun had become. First, the food quality, especially the “famous” Char Kuey Teow, it was my favourite for more than 10yrs, mainly because it was less oily and very flavourful. But now, it becoming more and more oily. Probably your cooks becoming more lazy to wash the wok? The second thing that make me furious the most is the service provided. Twice, I’ve been being rejected by your staffs for wanting to make a take away for my supper. First time it was 9:37pm(when google still showed that you open till 10pm). Second time, I arrived at 9:27pm, and your staffs openly told me that the last call is 9:30pm and they refuse to accept my order even though it still hasn’t even 9:30pm yet!!! Anyway, I told them directly that this will the last time I will enter this outlet, mainly because I already found a much better outlet at Subang Jaya SS15(WBL to be exact), it just that a few kilometres further away compared to going to yours. But, with the friendly and energetic service from their staffs, compared to...

The food…Penang people would be ashamed of this place. Curry mee was severely lacking the fragrant curry flavour and the Assam laksa had no fish taste and was just flat. No amount of prawn paste could save it. I always leave my Assam laksa bowl clean but this time, there were plenty of noodles and soup left. The chendol lacked sufficient gula melaka and was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The service gets a one star because the server had his thumb in the bowl when serving every single bowl. The waiter who took our order didn’t even wait for us to open the menu and immediately stood by our table to take our order. This review got two stars because the fried popiah was piping hot and crunchy when it came to our table.

Well maintained, air-conditioned and well set up restaurant. The food here is tasty and delicious. For some reasons the reviews it gets tend to be pretty low. I frequent here often many years ago and now the taste still pretty consistent. Ordered koey teow soup (soup is very flavorful and koey teow is super smooth) and mee jawa (very good). They can improve on making sure items on the menu is available as 2 simple items we requested are not available. Overall a value for money restaurant to have some good penang street food. Parking can be slightly challenging in this part of ss2 but overall should be fine as long as you are not here during the peak rush hour.

One of our favourite place to go for Penang dessert/snacks almost on a monthly basis. A sudden plan for dessert here today, after a very disappointing lunch experience elsewhere. We had our must order dessert which is the Special Chendol suitable for 2 pax, soothing for a hot day. Just the Right amount of gula melaka, and not overly sweetened. Toast kaya butter had a thick slice of pure butter, and the bread was toasted perfectly. Also had their fruit rojak - thick tasty signature rojak sauce. Service here is always excellent! Reasonable pricing. Will come here again and again! There are plenty more dishes for us to try from their menu.
