The chasiew (bbq pork) is really good. I would say it’s in some ways better than TNR’s. It was crunchy and carmelized to perfection. Definite try it out if you’re a fan of chasiew.
I taste tested the chasiew and then bought some to bring home for dinner.
They even gave me a cup of hot water for me to sanitize the utensils that was stored in a plastic container. 👍
They were a bit stingy on the sauce. If you order take away. Be sure to check the bag to ensure you have enough sauce. Sauce doesn’t cost much. I hope the merchant improves on this. Especially since I spent about MYR200 on my takeout.
Their noodle was quite tasty too.
Update May 1, 2023: Came here to order 1kg of chasiew. As I was leaving the owner asked if I wanted the 50c back from the extra container charged. I said no and left. Only to realize that she only gave me 2 small bags of the sauce. Each bag was about 30-50g. For 1 kg of bbq pork. So I went back in and asked for more. She then gave me another 3 small bags. Insisted that it was more than enough. I don’t know about the rest of you, I like my bbq pork drown in that sauce. I can’t believe that 1 kg of chasiew only has 5 sachets of sauce.
Do better CMK. Sauce doesn’t cost much.
This location was stated Temporarily Closed in the morning when I was there. And again now as “closed”. I wonder why?
Update Aug 4, 2024

Read moreTried this name sake, a few times at their former site and this is my 1st time at this new location. Remembered, the 1st time I'd try their curry wanton noodles and it wasn't all that bad, I d had worst one else where, which meant their food quality was passable! Certainly not the best I'd came crossed. Their curry gravy wasn't overly thick nor lost any of its curty flavours. The one I had was a take away, as such wasn't comparable to having it in house / site / noodle store. Enquired and was told by its owner theur nest were all imported pork belly. Hence slightly more expensive than the local variety. I had the siew yuk curry which came with tofu pok and pork skin. Thier curry was not to bad as it still had some decent taste of curry and curty oil. The absence of which will had rendered the curry 3rd rate.. The siew yuk cuts were infact above average, not the melt in the mouth type quality. As a noodle stall their menu was not extentive and was more in line to what a noodle stall should offer. Overall verdict was a passable curry wanton noodle. The only regret was that I didn't tried out their BBQ meat as yet as such it'll be unworthy of me to rate them such as their wanton balls,...
