Good food. Authentic. Highly recommended.
The ox tail noodle was ok. The ox tail was tender and flavorful. But the soup isn’t all that great. But still worth ordering. The soup wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as flavorful. As if the soup was made separately. The noodle came with a cucumber side dish, some roasted peanuts and some chili crisps. The chili crisp was very fragrant. But not spicy whatsoever. Better if spicier.
The lamb skewers were pretty good too. Not spicy. Would have better if there’s more cumin and chili. Still good nonetheless.
The intestine skewers were also really good. Again, not spicy enough.
We also ordered the bbq duck tongue, bbq pork trotters and a cabbage dish.
The duck tongue was good. The bbq trotter was tender. But, it wasn’t bbq-ed well. They have a braised version which I suspect they took that and put it on the barbe for a couple of minutes. Not fantastic. But wasn’t bad.
They also have a fish tank at the back that had fresh crayfish/ crawfish. But only serves it bbq. We didn’t order that. I may go back to try that next time. It’d be better if they have just plain boiled version which would be tastier IMO.
The 2 servers were also really polite!...
Read moreChinese meat skewers are such joy as every stick of protein (including exotic cuts) and vegetables are flavorful and spicy with the right char. Went for lunch. Arrived early and the staff let me sit at a table until they are ready at 12pm. Ordered 14 sticks for 2pax with a big bottle of QingDao beer. The meat are well marinated and cooked served in a warm grilled. They are served in batches. The place got busy by 1pm. Sadly they are out of stock on most vegetables.
They also served other food like claypot, noodles and rice dishes. Noticed other tables went for claypot for lunch.
The restaurant is bright, it clean and servers are attentive. Ordering is via a QR code.

Read moreMy daughter recommended this place to me as I was looking for a place for gathering with my old friends. Location wise, it is quite easy to find as it is located at the crowded area of SS2 but parking might be quite hard to find.
For the food I think it is quite authentic, the Lamb BBQ skewers is my personaly favourite! They are grilled in a specific branch called 红柳枝 which adds some aroma to the meat, so so good. They also have some other China dishes aside form the BBQ, their menu has a wide variety of choices, perfecr...
