To those who have not tried the Nyonya laksa here, it's quite good. As a matter of fact, most of their foods are above average and it's a sensible choice when I feel lazy to travel far.
◾Gerai Nyonya Laksa with shredded chicken, sliced fish cakes, cockles, boiled egg, taufu pok & shredded cucumber. Nyonya laksa is a much richer rendition of regular laksa with more coconut milk based broth. However the flavour didn't go until the point of being jelak. In short, the flavour is on-point for me and the presence of quintessential cockles made the whole bowl looked tastier. ◾Gerai Chicken Chop - fried battered chicken chop, potato wedges, fried egg, tomato & shredded lettuce served with sweet potato sauce. Instead of the usual tomato based sauce as most Hainanese chicken chop has, they used potato based sauce served on sizzling plate. It was tasty but they could use less batter. ◾Luncheon meat rice bowl with fried egg, seaweed, salad tomato and cucumber served on a bed of plain rice. Comfort food for those who can't live without rice, and the addition of seaweed gave the bowl much needed umami taste while the salad cut down the greasiness. ◾Nanyang teh could do better.

Read moreBeen a customer and fan since they opened I think about 10years ago. As they've evolved over the years, the menu continues to be a cool mix of traditional Malaysian hawker food, and their unique modern fusion take on Malaysian hawker food. Prices have crept up over the years, but the size and quality of each dish fully justifies the price, in my opinion. Some of the modern fusion dishes are not to the taste of my other family members, but I like them all! You've got to try their daily lunch specials as well when available. My family's current favourite items are the Yong Chow fries rice, pan mee soup, buttermilk chicken/fish rice, XL Hainanese Chicken Rice, pork nasi lemak, and anything with luncheon meat in it. The one and only minor gripe I have with Gerai is now the ordering is online using the QR code website, and unfortunately the reception at their corner of the mall is bad so we have to move around to get a signal, but if the waiter is not busy they will sometimes take our order manually. Also, due to the current staff shortage, you will have to be patient for your food when the...
