Yesterday evening it was drizzling n I felt so lazy to cook dinner for myself n my niece. So I drove to Center Point to get some dinner for ourselves. We thought of eating bakuteh cos we have not been eating this pork dish for quite some time. In the end I went to the ground floor n went to this shop . As it was my 1st time here, I looked at the menu before choosing what to buy. It was already dinner time n there were a few tables of customers ordering their food n some were eating away. Finally I ordered a pax of braised pork with yam n a pax of pork ribs bakuteh .I also bought 2 pax of onion rice to go with our food. They have a wide variety of different cuts of pork for the bakuteh. I chose the pork ribs as it’s easier to eat . My niece would like the braised pork with yam to go with her onion rice as well. The prices were quite reasonable. Besides this, there were many side dishes that you can order such as braised pork with mui Choy n even pork meat balls n some stir - fry vegetables. I went home n ate our food as our dinner. The food was still warm n it tasted good.

Let me let you in on a little secret; Meat in Claypot's best asset is it's ambience and environment. Most of their seating is located in an open area towards the centre of the the mall. It is well lit, surrounded by plants, with wooden beams that support the fans, lighting and decoration. The tables are made of marble, each with a different and interesting Chinese illustration. Put this all together and you get a quiet, cozy and comfortable dining area that is both cooling and airy. Hats off to them on this. The food itself is decent enough, while nothing spectacular, with the exception of the onion rice, which i really like. While the staff are helpful and quick to assist you, they could be better trained. The few times i have frequented this restaurant I have found it quite difficult to get my order across. The price for 3pax was ~RM100, with three cuts of meat, one vegetable side, rice and tea. Overall a pleasant experience, and will definitely return for another dinner!

This is a restaurant located within the Centrepoint of Bandar Utama. The restaurant has a number of outside seatings. It serves Bak Kut Teh and other speciality pork dishes. Their Bak Kut Teh has different meat options available. The Braised Pork with Yam is nice. Service is reasonable. Cleanliness is acceptable. Prices are reasonable. Cash and e-wallet payments are accepted. There are a reasonable number of parking spaces available within the Centrepoint Building. Handicapped patrons on wheelchairs can patronize this restaurant. 21-02-2025 : Their Bak Kut Teh still good. Claypot Lou Shi Fun is fantastic. Both are recommended.

First time tried after heard from friend . Passed by just gave a try . I was excited n spoke friendly to them. But only one uncle really answered . The lady look unfriendly .
